What happened to the Victor Ortiz that fought Berto?

I remember ortiz came into that ring looking like he wanted to eat somebody's soul- and he fought like it too..

Why didn't that show up against mayweather? Did he get in his head?

I think he could have gotten up from that 2 piece... I think he just knew he couldnt beat floyd and quit- it was easy to fake because he was already dazed. But not so bad that he couldn't fight it out.

I think Floyd was right with what he said in the Face Off. Victor was not ready for a fight of that magnitude and with so much attention on him. I actually didn't think he fought that bad and that straight right Mayweather caught him with was a hard shot. I don't doubt he couldn't get up, I just don't like all the smiling and ass kissing he did after. You just lost, show some anger, and vow revenge. I still think he beats any welterweight not named Mayweather or Pacquiao right now.

getting up wasn't in the script. he's not going to go and improvise while floyd is holding his paycheck.

He took so much worse from berto, it's hard to believe mayweather could knock him out like that with 2 punches when he's never knocked anyone out like that.

Mayweather has to break someone down before he can knock them out- he doesn't have that kind of power.

floyd intimidated Victor, just like he intimidates anyhone that steps into the ring with him. Victor was scared

I think not seeing the shot coming had something to do with it. He looked pretty out of it on the canvas.

I agree in that he could have gotten up from the 2 piece, but that to me was the same Victor, only that he was unsuccessful when he trapped Mayweather in the ropes, Floyd never allowed him to gain any momentum there.
