by all the experts and writers and websites....also he was ranked #1 @WW and wanted no parts of Mosley....remember Roach told Mosley "you are too good" and turned down a fight vs Mosley.

Not till after mosley was clearly washed up did Pac agree to fight him. AFTER he was no longer ranked high @WW....

RING had him #3, for some reason I thought it was #9, but I was mistaken. He got put that high because Margarito had just beaten Miguel Cotto, which threw Marg into the Top P4P. Than, Mosley knocked Margarito out and that put him in the top 10 as well.

Everybody and their brother was saying Floyd wouldn't fight Mosley after he KO'd Margarito. Arum and Roach both said "Floyd won't fight Mosley, he's way too much of a risk for him". Than, Floyd fought him, and it turned into "Floyd cherry picked Mosley"....

Show me some links that he was that high. The mosley that was 10 seconds away from loosing to Mayorga? The Marg win was good but Marg did just get caught with loaded gloves. Mosley has been finished since 2007

One can make an argument that there wasn't no difference in the Mosley that Floyd and Pac fought in terms of what he was capable to do in the ring.

Also Mosley was still ranked highly at WW when he fought Pac by most. Either #3 or #4 depending the ones who did rank him if they claimed Mayweather as lineal or not.

Mosley ready to go at 144 lb vs Pacquiao
By Abac Cordero (The Philippine Star) Updated June 02, 2009 12:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines – Shane Mosley is willing to stake his WBA welterweight crown if he gets to face Manny Pacquiao even at a catch weight of 144 lb.

“I’ll meet him halfway so we can make the fight,” said Mosley in an exclusive interview aired by NBN-4 sports program Teledyaryo yesterday.

Mosley, the champion at 147 lb, said he’s willing to go down in weight, face Pacquiao on Oct. 17, and stake his crown just to see “who’s the best.”

Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, said they’re willing to face Mosley if the latter would agree to go down to 142 lb. Then Mosley said “halfway” could mean 144 lb.

“I can possibly make the weight and feel comfortable. I want to explore that,” said Mosley.

Shane was not only P4P #3, he was ranked as the #1 WW.

No YOU can make the argument. Stevie Wonder could see that the mosley coming off knocking out Margarito was much different then the Mosley that fought to a draw with Sergio Mora which is why he was RANKED #1 when he fought Mayweather & #3 on the P4P list .......actually have you read what Pac's promoter Bob Arum said about Mosley after the Mora fight?>>>>

Shane Mosley, who showed his age and the wear and tear of 53 professional bouts and 376 live rounds against the listless Sergio Mora on Saturday, did not help his standing in the Manny Pacquiao sweepstakes.

That's the word from Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum, who was busy with religious observance on Yom Kippur and did not view the bout live.
Asked on Sunday if he'd read the less-than-glowing reports of the controversial draw, Arum gave little reason to expect a Mosley-Pacquiao showdown.

"I did and I read them saying Mosley was huffing and puffing for air in the fourth or fifth round," Arum said. "To me, that is the real tipoff for an aging fighter. Even Big George Foreman did that in his 40s but he always had that big, big punch like in the (Michael) Moorer fight.

"What I've read is not very supportive to make any Mosley-Pacquiao bout. Look, he's going to be 40 and he's in the lighter weights where speed is so important. He's on a show with guys -- example, 20-year-old Saul Canelo Alvarez -- old enough to be his son.

"I guess Shane needs the money due to his matrimonial sitaution (a divorce under harsh California community property rules)," Arum said. "I've always considered Shane to be a nice guy but this is what happens to fighters when they age.

"It's like (Bernard) Hopkins, he still knows how to fight but who wants to pay to see him now? His fights are not very scintillating. What you see with Hopkins we're beginning to see with Mosley."
Arum said he wouldn't be interested in playing the flakcatcher if he made a Shane-Manny bout at this point.
