Normally Floyd wait till after the fight to show respect for his opponents but this time around he has not said one negative thing about Miguel Cotto. Why do you htink this is, I know some will say bc its a tough sell but in all reality these are 2 of the top 3 PPV fighters in the sport so why do you think he;s doing it, bc no matter what this fiht is going to do great in the PPV sales

Cotto is a guy that Mayweather needs to build up because he was destroyed by Pacquiao so thoroughly. Since then, Cotto has only has three fights---one vs a one legged paper champ that had no punching power, another against a way past prime Mayorga (who was never any good anyway) and against a Margarito whose eye was destroyed by Pacquaio.

Cotto, at this stage of his career, is past prime. Funny thing is, he's probably the toughest challenge Mayweather has had since Castilo- who was also past prime at that point.

like how pac fought mays left overs in dela and hatton? seriously though i agree that cottos past it but he still has some left in the tank, on flip side floyds past it to. anyways at least floyd didnt weight drain cotto for the title fight. anybody thats really boxed or wrestled and had to make weight knows that 2 pounds can make or break you. im banking on cotto having a mosely rd 2 moment against floyd but i feel he still has the ability to capitalize on a wobbled mayweather where as shane did not. ill throw regular 50 bucks on the fight. cotto for a round 4 ko.

trash to fighters he know he can beat,, he knows he has a
real challenge in cotto,, on top of that cotto and Floyd are cool. Floyd went to puerto Rico like last year and hung out with cotto, they even went to the club together. I think Floyd must of told cotto once he leaves top rank they could
set up a fight. Cotto vs mayweather will be
fight of the year. No questions asked
