True, but Mosley was looking like a monster after the Margarito fight and was the biggest puncher Floyd had faced so fans thought Floyd could lose. Cotto is coming off of a much less Margarito that Shane faced, and if the fight had not been stopped he looked like he was on the verge of quitting again. No one believes Cotto has a chance to beat Floyd (reason why tons tune in) so Floyd has to talk him up such as saying hes really undefeated since he lost to cheaters and such.

Regardless of Cotto "being able to understand" what Floyd is saying, he's not fluent enough in English to have slick comebacks. He wouldn't be able to get a response out of Cotto anyway. Mayorga tried and failed.

I don't know if you watched any of the buildup to mayweather-ortiz, but slick is the last word i'd use to describe ortiz' comebacks. mayweather has more respect for cotto than he does for most people he's fought, and rightfully so. cotto deserves more respect than most people - he's a great man and a great boxer.
