Normally Floyd wait till after the fight to show respect for his opponents but this time around he has not said one negative thing about Miguel Cotto. Why do you htink this is, I know some will say bc its a tough sell but in all reality these are 2 of the top 3 PPV fighters in the sport so why do you think he;s doing it, bc no matter what this fiht is going to do great in the PPV sales

He is not overly trying to be the bad guy, that is why he is fighting Cotto because if he was fighting a Mexican he would have to play the bad guy but if he plays his cards correctly he can have some people actually cheering him on here. To some he will always be the bad guy but it is not like he can change their minds anyhow so no need to go after them.

Plus ****ting on Cotto doesn't get him anywhere, he needs people to believe Cotto has a chance to really sell the fight and showing respect to him is a way of doing that. Really it is the exact opposite because he doesn't believe he needs to try and get under his skin that way, so it is actually a lack of respect, most people don't dig that deep though and take things at face value.

Its because if he starts talking the truth like he did against Gatti people will understand he really did fight a guy who is no longer relevant.
