there's nothing wrong with what you had to say. we should be mature enough to talk about this stuff.

i'll also say this, there are parts of mexico that are insanely high. training and living at elevation is a huge advantage in terms of the cardio you bring into a fight at normal elevation. the mexican fighters with real athletic talent and technique tend to be among the most durable and best conditioned. elevation cannot be overstated.

mexico city is 7000 feat above sea level, right?
    and it's in a valley
It's actually 8,000 ft above sea level in the valley and over 12,000 in surrounding areas. It's the 11th highest major city in the world and only second to La Paz, Bolivia in the Americas.

There's definitely an advantage there as I would know living there for over half my life. I remember running up my aunts stairs in her house and my nose started bleeding when I first got there as a kid. I wasn't used to it at all.

While I agree we lack in baseball, I think it has to do with lack of interest. We have a bunch of prospects in boxing and Dude, you sound like a poor excuse for a proud Rican. Maybe YOU stuck on video games but people I know are working and studying in P.R. Cotto already has a Cuban trainer. And just beat a Mexican. Mexicans get spanked all the time by Ricans, by KO! Put Dulorme in there now with any Mexican in his division. Elites come once a generation. Cotto is ours. Dulorme is next. Not our fault Cotto got derailed and slowed down by that ****ing cheater. Learn boxing and do some history on the sport, including basketball (we spank Cubans) before posting dumb stuff. Juanma losing like that has nothing to do with our country or trainers. Cotto's father was a trainer and a very hard worker. Great trainers are rare no matter where. This thread is racist, just like KEV, that soplabicho. Juanma and Cotto take punches. Look at black Danny Jacobs who got KO'd with one punch. And P. Will. Open your mind.
I dont know where you live, but I have to agree with him. I have worked hard all my life, but kids today are growing soft. Maybe you can make a pool of hard working people, so can I. But the real life in PR, in the barrio, in the caserios, parcelas y barriadas, life aint like you are making it to be. Arrogance have taken away the pride of hard working and learning how to make a honest life. Saying ***** like: Roncamos porque podemos is making the island fool of pathetic bums who are controlling the streets right now.

Our trainers in PR suck. In boxing they are not good. Felix Trinidad Sr only had his kid, a hard working jibarito. Other than that he dont know how to train a guy. Why cant you accept that we need help from outside to improve in certain areas? Basketball, we are decent. Number 12 in the world, probably pretty good. However, we wasted years with Manolo Cintron because people in the island thought it was good when realtiy, Manolo was bad. Only know how to ride his horse and not build a team.

PR has changed so much in the last 25 years cause of the mentality, Puerto Rico lo hace mejor. We are damn ********** who think we cant improve with help from other countries other than f.ing USA. **** that mentality. I rather look west or south for help than north.

And I am proud puertorican. Who works hard and care less about ****** video games.

I think this is a racist thread and it categorizes a group of people.
Since when can anybody come on here or any other website and complain about how weak a Puerto Ricans chin is? Mother***ers, we have more World
Champions then any other race, country or nationality in the world. So for an Asian to come to the Americas and criticize natives about having weak
chins and cant fight is weak to begin with. Have more than 1 or 2 World Champions mother***ers before talking ***** about somebodys ***ing chin, CHINO MAMA BICHO!

Diablo loco yo te creia mas maduro. The thread is not racist. The guy have an opinion and he base his opinion on recent showing of ricans fighters. I dont see any racism here. Not even your last sentence. It only show your age.

BTW, we are doing bad in boxing right now. I dont know where you get your numbers. USA and Mexico are ahead. And please, dont give me the per capita thing right now cause right now we only have one. A pretty good one, but that is it.

HAha, yea man it makes you feel real humble. There's a scene in a great movie called "The Motorcycle Diaries" where they are climbing the mountains in Peru and they are strong young men and are super tired. One of them is talking about how impossible this climb is and as he's saying that, some old man with a giant basket on his head just strolls right by them...it was a funny moment.

IYO? You have no ***ing opinion when it comes to Puerto Ricans fighters because your ass isn't a professional boxer and you haven't been in the ring with a Puerto Rican fighter/boxer.

But I think Cotto has a very good chin. Lopez has a ok chin.

                    Benitez had a good chin.
