If Moreno beats Mares at some point and if Gamboa sits on the shelf, Moreno should enter the Top 10 P4P.
Gamboa is now #10 P4P by the RING.....

I think if Mares-Moreno fight, the winner would have to be in the Top 10 P4P. Moreno would have beaten Sydorenko, Cermeno, Parra, Darchinyan, and Mares. Or if Mares were to upset Moreno, he will have beaten Darchinyan, Agbeko, and Moreno, and I thought Mares beat Yonnhy Perez as well.
I really hope after Moreno beats De La Mora and after Mares beats Morel, Mares-Moreno in August/September. That's a big fight.Comment

I do too. I think Moreno would beat Mares going away but think and it happened are two very different things.I think if Mares-Moreno fight, the winner would have to be in the Top 10 P4P. Moreno would have beaten Sydorenko, Cermeno, Parra, Darchinyan, and Mares. Or if Mares were to upset Moreno, he will have beaten Darchinyan, Agbeko, and Moreno, and I thought Mares beat Yonnhy Perez as well.

Moreno just has too much skill for Mares. Yes, Mares put Agbeko away twice, and Agbeko is a pretty solid boxer. But, Moreno is just on another level I think. Mares would have to turn it into a dog fight, but I see Moreno beating him 116-112/117-111.Comment

Which fights were close besides the Cermeño fights. Which had to do more with styles than anything. Cermeño being rough tough even at times dirty fighter. And, Moreno was he rematch by a more wider margin.he should get credit for being a road warrior and getting the wins. But I've watched those close fights and he didn't look nearly as good as he did against Vic and he has struggled a bit. There was 1 of those fights for sure where the scores were closer than it actually was but he has had a couple pretty close fights as well.
I'm just saying I don't think it's absurd at all not to have him on the top 10 list. He's indeed a good fighter but I'm not going to say he's top 10 just yet.
No one is over hyping him cuz' of the Vic. Just because he became a household name in that fight. Doesn't mean people weren't following him prior. Besides Cermeño he hasn't had any close fights. The SD victories you see in his resume are because he fought in his opponent backyard. He just so good that they haven't found a way to rob him yet.
If we compare skills between Gamboa and Moreno. Moreno is the more skills fighter. More versatile as well. He can fight in the pocket in the inside and make you miss. Gamboa inside fighting skills can't tough Moreno inside fighting skills. Moreno can mix offense with his defense. Gamboa is either too offensive or too defensive he can't mixed them together. If we're talking about resume. Moreno has the better resume as well.
If anyone is over hyped between. It is Gamboa. Not Moreno.Comment

I'm obviously a Gamboa fan, but he is hugely under-rated by many on here.
He's a tremendous fighter who sits clearly at the top of his division and has spanked the other top guy's that have been in with him. He's been putting it all together in recent fights as far as offense and defence, outside fighting and doing damage inside.
He's not as hyped as guy's like Donaire, but if he's #4 on a P4P list, he's the first guy to be looked at in terms of placed too high.Comment
