sucks that Gamboa will probably get Black Balled, but Arum and Oner deserves some blame as well, why would you make plans and sales tickets before getting both fighters Signatures on the Contract?Last edited by KnockUTheFukOut; 03-10-2012, 09:55 PM.

I don't know what Gamboa's agreement is with his management, but I don't understand how anyone with all their senses can give their reps the power to make decisions for them without signing a contract. When something like this happens I have to assume his reps are trying to take advantage of him.
I read that the TR VP stated they had an "agreement in principle". WTF is that? Here's how I imagine this took place:
YG's Reps: Do you want to fight Rios for 1 million dollars.
Gamboa: Sure, easy money.
YG's reps: Okay, we'll take care of it.
...a day later
YG's Reps: Okay Gamboa, you got the fight and the money.
Gamboa: but I don't see contract to sign.
YG's Reps: It's okay we took care of it.
Gamboa: So I beat Rios and I go Mayweather?
YG's Reps: uhhhhh... ahem... actually this renews your contract to TR for 3 years, 3 million for 6 fights.
Gamboa: **** you... I don't go to press conference!
And you must've been eating shrooms if you think that's what went down

Gamboa got scared. Plain and simple. Psychologically speaking, a boxer who is hell bent on proving something in the ring doesn't rely on one fight alone. In this case, he was thinking of losing the fight. And they better compensate him handsomely for it. This is typical of boxers who have no confidence in winning the fight.
He should have gone on with the fight, trained hard and fired his agent win or lose. His rep would have been intact.
