This is not about anybody being scared. You have to look past the four ringpost to know boxing. Gamboas got a lot more at stake than facing Rios in the ring. He is doing what DLH and FM did and what Pac and Donair need to do: refuse to bend over for Bob Arum. HBO will get over it trust me. They know Bob Arum well. He did the same thing to HBO when he switched the Pac ppv to showtime. This talk about Gamboa being scared and blackballed is bs. this kid is exciting and people want to see him. With the right promotional team the sky is the limet.

In boxing you have to be realistic if you're a boxer. It's very difficult to put together a fight as big as this Rios fight for Gamboa. You can have all the skills in the world and fans won't still see you as PPV material. You must be ****** not to know that. Even so-called hardcore fans would rather steal such fights by online streaming, instead of paying for them. The money is simply not there. Blaming the promoters would just make yourself look ******.

How about proving yourself first by fighting and beating a rising star like Rios, then name your price for your next fight? Unfortunately, that's not how Gamboa saw it. He's putting the cart ahead of the horse. This is one opportunity he failed to take advantage of.

In comparison, why is Rios not complaining about the money he's getting in this fight which is reported to be less? Why, because the money is secondary to him. He knows what he's worth in terms of PPV. But he obviously wants to get there fast by beating all these boxers that are in the way and maybe a shot at Pacquiao down the line.

I hear all these clowns blaming the promoters as if the sport would get better if they do anything different. It's even worse. It's producing undeserving divas who don't even listen to fans.
