Hatton's talents unfortunately would make it a stretch, sorry to say .... but why should we fault him for doing better at 140 or for not being able to handle it at 147? Hatton was made for 140 and his career supports this. It's not like I'm dreaming this up, .... it's all there in the record books.

The point about Trinidad is that he was not as effective at 160 ... similarly, Hatton was not effective at 147.

Hatton could have fought the way he did at 140 but it was a tougher task with the bigger boys at 147.

Why else would you back down to 140 after the Collazo fight and then again after the Floyd fight? Think about that one! It's a no-brainer!
Because he was a champion at 140. He wanted to be the P4P #1 so he moved up to 147 to fight FLoyd. How hard is that to understand? Hatton could have fought Floyd at 140 but he wasn't ready for Floyd. Just like Hatton wasn't ready for Cotto at 140...

Still, Hatton was undefeated and had his team with him when fighting Mayweathr. VS Pac he had nothing but a memory of how that whore of a ring post ****ed his life up and embarrassed him in front of his fans the entire boxing community. He was done, Pac just capitalized on it like he did vs Hoya and Mosley.

That line that I bolded is what I have been telling you from the start!
The only reason Hatton went back up for the 2nd time was to try to beat Floyd. If it was another Collazo type opponent then he would have just fought them types in his own Den at 140lbs!

But at 147lbs Hatton could not be as effective as he was at 140lbs. The stats prove it! It's not as easy as you think to move up a division .... especially when you are fighting the top fighters in that division.

And what does that have to do with Hatton being mentally ****ed up after Mayweather beat him? What does that have to do with Hatton firing his team? What does that have to do with Hatton hiring Floyd Sr as a trainer so he could box like Floyd?

Hatton was done but pushed on fighting back to back bums in hopes of beating the next best fighter (Pac) but like I said he would do, he failed miserably just like I said he would do years before too.

I think because Floyd has that "0" it is clouding your mind. Many have lost and many have come back stronger.

Just look at Hatton's record. Hatton did nothing at 147 and if you think Hatton did something, I had asked you several posts ago to point them to me but you can't!

Hatton's den is 140 not 147 and you can't prove me wrong on that one, sorry to say.

              Pac's win on Hatton>Floyd's

It doesn't matter what Hatton did at 140 OR 147. Just because he was champ at 140 doesn't mean he was a better fighter by the time Pac got to him.. how do you not understand this...

Yeah he WAS a champion but that doesn't erase the fact that he was done.. Why do you think he retired after fighting Pac? He should have retired after Floyd KOed him just like Jones should have retired after Tarver Koed him.. he was done and was Ko'ed again because he was done. Pac KOed Hatton because he was done.

I know you don't want to accept that because you want to think that it was all Pac and Hatton's mental state had nothing to do with him being KOed in 2 rounds to end up retiring..

Complete garbage.. I said it well before he stepped in the ring with Mayweather.. Euro's got butt hurt, I said in due time you will see I promise.. They hate hate hate hate me... They hated life. Then to top it off, I said Pac would DESTROY Hatton to the point that people would think Pac could beat Mayweather.... They hated me even more... They hated life then as the pactarrrds hate life now.

I know, I was right, I was right... but when you talk about a great fighter like Mayweather let alone Pac and some euro chump tries and tells you Hatton will destroy Mayweather, I'm quick to explain the outcome... like I said, I was right and then Pac validated it. Hatton is garbage when comparing to the best and like I said he should have retired when he fought the best (the first time). Nothing he did after that fight helped his career as he was done.

You're not garbage just because you lose to Floyd or Manny. Ricky Hatton was not garbage. Did we all of a sudden forget that Hatton won 4 titles in 2 weight classes, and had wins over Stewart, Maussa, Tszyu, Urango, Collazo, Malignaggi, and Lazcano. He wasn't garbage and when he beat Tszyu, Kostya was the #1 JWW in the world, and Tszyu is in the HOF by the way.

Ricky Hatton was not garbage, that's just asinine. Ricky Hatton was one of the best JWW in his era, was a really good win for Floyd. Ricky Hatton was also in the Top 10 P4P from 2005-2007.
