I feel bad for the people that bought tickets if it doesn't. This really pisses me off. This fight was equally as an aticipated as Mayweather-Cotto and Pacquiao-Bradley.

Yea it sucks, thats how i felt when i bought Marg-cotto tickets 2 months in advanced (which i rarely do) and they were about to deny Marg a license.

I know. When they announced that fight could come out west to CO, i was like what the f**k??? The last big fight in CO was Johnston-Castillo II 12 years ago, and that's only because Stevie's from Denver.

Thanks for the info but I don't blame anyone else expect for gamboa, If he doesn't speak english, never understand what a contract is then why doesn't he or his People ( Dad ) included, get him a lawyer that would/can go through every little details of his contract with Ahmet oner? This is 2012 Not 1912 when boxers are easily exploited by all this promoters, If you are getting exploited in this day and age by a boxing promoter then you have to put the blame on yourself and your team, He's so naive he doesn't realise that he would end up paying for hotels that he stays in? Wow and Mayweather coming to his rescue is laughable that's exactly how a boxer gets exploited by a promoter.

Wouldn't be a big surprise. Ahmet Öner is a criminal and a disgrace to the sport.

The TS makes it clear that Gamboa's beef is with Ahmet Öner. In my opinion, Öner is one of the sleaziest characters in one of the sleaziest of businesses. From the start, I was puzzled that Arum would attempt to put one over on Gamboa at the last second. Although it wouldn't be shocking in this business, it just seemed like too much of a ham-fisted move by a wily and experienced lawyer.

Öner signed Yuri, Odlanier Solis and Erislandy Lara shortly after they defected and launched their professional careers in Germany. Gamboa is Arena Box's (Öner's company) biggest star. Considering Öner's shady history, Yuri's value to him and Gamboa's professed desire to leave his company, it's indeed no surprise that this promoter would attempt a last-minute move to swindle Yuri.
