Any fighter from past to present, started at 106 could duplicate Pac accomplishments?

I know cotto is no. 1 at 154, but for sure Canelo is not top 2 not even 3 at 154,if floyd beats cotto and unifies with canelo he will have 4 lineal titles.130,135,147,154.just throwing that out there
and 8 divisional titles??come that last 1 was a damn joke i cant count that and keep a str8 face ..and the 7th one was won at a catchweight but atleast he defended it so i can't knock that one.but the 8th one???please
Floyd to be lineal champion, after beating cotto and becoming no.1 must beat the no. 2 or in special instances the no. 3 ....
the only short cut to being lineal is beating the lineal champion...Comment

Mayweather can ask Pacquiao about short cuts, he knows all about them.I know cotto is no. 1 at 154, but for sure Canelo is not top 2 not even 3 at 154,

as diluted as the championship now, still their is nobody who have won 7-8 titles in 7-8 different weight classes, we can only speculate who could do it, heck I could speculate if PAC did not jump from 112-122 he could have won championship at 115 & 118 as well making him champion at 9-10 weight class...Ill take Sam Langford crossing of weights over Manny's. He beat a top 3 all time great lightweight. Drew with a top 15 welterweight all time. Beat a top 10 all time middle and beat a top 15 all time heavy. If he had been allowed to fight for titles and there were 17 weight classes like today it is arguable he could have been champion at 135, 140, 147, 154, 160, 168, 175, cruiserweight and heavyweight. Thats NINE weight classes!! This was also at a time with only one champion per division.
have to add even the lineal championship Pac is the only fighter to have done this and even Floyd Mayweather is still at least 2 fights away to equal this accomplishment...Comment

Im not surethey could produce such outstanding performances at the top weight like Pac. Its supposed to be harder to beat big guys.Comment

TS, there are twice as much weight classes now, than there was 30 years ago. So we can't realistically compare champs prior with less weight classes to champs post, unless we figure the inbetween weight classes. Also less titles back then, so no cherrypicking.
In short Diaz at 135 & Margarito at a mannyweight of 150 would have been impossible. Slashed him down to 6. Add the extra weight classes to the ones they had back then & yes, fighters could have done what Pacman did.Comment

Freddie Steele as a teenager started at 106 and moved up and became a champion at MW. Arguably at top 10 ATG MW. One of the most underrated MW's of all time.
Jimmy McLarnin, who is a lot similar to Pacquioa size. Started as a teenager as well. Beat the first great Filipino fighter Pancho villa near Flyweight moved all the way up to WW. Beating B.Leonard, Young Corbet III, Tony Canzoneri Barney Ross>>>Cotto, JMM, Hatton, Oscar
George Carpantier fought in damn near every division.
And, Sam Langford went from LW to HW like Jabs mentioned.
Also something that should really be taking into account. Is that during this times they had same day weigh-in. Pacquaio pre 2009 benefited a lot from Day before weigh-ins. He re-hydrated a good amount of weight at 130 and below. This guys didn't have that luxury.Comment

Good call.
"With his first professional bout at age 14, he was welterweight champion of France and of Europe in 1911, middleweight champion of Europe in 1912, and light heavyweight champion of Europe in 1913. On June 1, 1913, he beat "Bombardier" Billy Wells in Ghent, Belgium to become heavyweight champion of Europe." (From Wiki)
He went from European Welterweight champion in 1911, to European Heavyweight Champion in 1913
God imagine if PEDs existed back then, he'd never hear the end of it.Comment
