I mean I've seen worse stoppages, that one didn't seem to be a really bad 1 to me. (And I was going for juanma).
According to me??When did I ever say JML would win the fight,or change the fight with one shot??I'll wait...

But this is boxing and anything can happen,my point was JML was still defending himself and answer back with punches..Bad stoppage by the rules of boxing...

Battered against the ropes??Come on you make it sound as if JML drop his hands and was taking flush shots, that was not the case...JML was answering with shots and still trying, all I'm saying is you have to let a warrior go out how he goes out...Esp in a Championship fight,as long as JML was still answering the fight should not have been stopped...

I don't get why people are still saying that it was a bad stoppage??? Every time he got hit with the right hand after getting buzzed by it initially he was getting spaghetti legged. Salido was not missing with the right hand and JML would have suffered more and more unnecessary punishment. It was a good stoppage IMO just because the other fighter is swinging back doesn't mean he would have finished the fight.

They should had let that fight go till he really got dropped. When JML fought Matgawa he showed that he was resilient.

Nobody here knows what would had happened if it would had continued.

Chances were that JML was going to get KOed but nobody really knows

A fight should not be stopped before it's time..JML was still up and still fighting,he deserved to have the chance to finish...

If you were a trainer, your fighters would be ******ed by age 35. It's people like you who are actually trainers whose fighters get battered badly and unnecessarily. Just because he's a champ doesn't mean he's not human and won't feel pain or can't be damaged

ITs not a fact that there were five rounds left?? that his legs were gone? that he kept eating salido's right hand over and over again?

I think it was a good stoppage. Juanma was throwing his arms around but there was nothing on his punches. He just keep eating big punches and had no way of defending himself from them. It was better to stop it then someone getting seriously hurt.

EXACTLY!! There was no need for JML to take further punishment that fight. Why do boxing fans not see this? Dude was starting to get clobbered with the right hand over and over again. For people that still whine about it being stopped to early here you go

LMAO. What a bunch of crock.

The first fight was in JML's own territory. It was a set up fight so one of Top Rank's UNDEFEATED fighter would fight Gamboa for the big $$$. Uncle Bob hired this ref to do HIS bidding (let's not kid about this really). The ref finally seen way too much damage and finally decided to stop the fight cuz Lopez may go gaga if he goes full 12.

Let's face it. Juanma's chin ain't gonna be like the last fight. He may not be "shot" but there are some huge damage done (both physically and mentally) at the last fight. Put yourself in the perspective of Juanma. Now, Juanma probably seen the tape of the first fight MANY many times. More than most of us here combined. You don't think deep in his mind (as he is honest to himself, not to the press) he will have fear and doubt that he getting his arse kicked as his defense has not improved.

If anyone of you think he will have the same resilience you are in for a big shock. And sorry to say you are gullible to actually believe the stoppage is early
