That's not a fact. The facts are that everytime Salido conected after the initial kd, he hurt JML. JML's legs were bad. He wasn't hurting Salido & he was getting trottled. However it is my opinion that the ref could have let the fight continue for a few more seconds, but Lopez had no power in his punches & wasn't going to score any 1 punch ko's in that fight.

It was a good stoppage. JuanMa's stamina is suspect and becomes more susceptible to getting hit in the later rounds. Maybe he could have gotten out of the round, but he wouldn't have survived round 9. His legs were gone and he was getting hammered.

It's not about JML scoring a KO,it's about the fact he was still defending himself, which imo is the most important fact if this..He deserved the opportunity to try to win that fight...This is boxing where 1 punch could change everything..He deserved the right to try,he was defending himself and answer back with punches...

It wasn't a bad stoppage, look at Juanma's face when he is sent to his corner after the stoppage. The dude was out of it but his heart wouldn't let him fall.

I dont know why JL kept throwing left leads when OS kept sliping them and coming back with a hard right counters.

I dont know why people keep saying JL needs to box smartly when thats exactly what he tried to do in the first fight, box off the back foot. The thing is OS matches JLs foot speed because JL has HEAVY legs. And JL cant really fight effectively off the backfoot because he has to get his heavy feet set so he becomes very predictable. OS put on smart pressure without neglecting defense. Stalking, slipping and blocking JL's wild looping predictable punches, and countering. OS is obviously the smarter boxer of the two.

I agree, that the reason why I really feel JML has to come forward in this fight and keep his hands up..JML tends to get real lazy after he throws a punch, his hands take forever to get back up to his face...I don't know if it's because he is use to hurting his opponents so nothing is coming back, but that's a habit he needs to break and fast..JML can win this fight with the right game plan, and moving backwards should not be part of it,like I said early he can move forward without going to war...Move behind that jab and don't take a backward step at all, that's the only way he wins this fight imo..

Juanma was out on his feet swinging aimlessly, great stoppage this fight was headed nowhere but JuanMa being brutalized.

Not according to Rome. Juanma's amazing power that was not there when he was fresh would have magically appeared when he was dazed, had no legs & getting hurt by every flush right hand he took. Against an Iron chinned Salido to boot.

I mean I've seen worse stoppages, that one didn't seem to be a really bad 1 to me. (And I was going for juanma).

I heavily favored JuanMa to win as well but after the 1st KD he was just getting weaker and weaker until he was defenseless being battered on the ropes, he wasn't going to comeback anyone with eyes should be able to see that.
