Yea, I had a feeling it was a Bob thing. Promoting the fight before its signed, throwing a big press conference to pressure him into fighting. They really tried to bully him.

Gamboa may not have a big following but the man is a star and one of the most talented fighters out now. There should be some kind of big bidding for him.

He is right, if he doesn't stick up for himself now, then he will always be taken advantage of.

Rios can fight someone his own size, its not like theres a shortage of guys calling him out either. He has options @ 135 and 140.

That's exactly what appears to be going on.

          Gamboa

My biggest problem with this staement is that Gamboa and his team knew about this fight for some time now. Bob arum and top rank have been promting this fight for some time and boxing fans find out at Gamboa's hometown presser that the fight is off?!?! can't think of anything more unprofessional.

You know what is unprofessional? Bullying a fighter into signing a contract through coercion. They go ahead with dates and promotion to pressure a fighter into agreeing to less than satisfactory contractual terms.

Other than a non-explanatory explanation, nobody knows yet what prompted him to behave the way he has. I've noticed that those of Latino background seem to have their full share of their famous "temperament", and often "jump the gun", when they'd have been wiser to take their time and study the situation a little more. It seems that the guy is bound by a legal contract, and a promoter always can wait longer than a fighter.

Bullying him into the biggest fight of his career against the best opponent for the most money? What exactly is Gamboa in boxing to do?

He obviously think he's a superstar. This guy can't even draw flies on his fights. He's just an undercard material. This is his opportunity to shine with Rios. He's blowing it. Man, this guy will be full of regrets someday.
