Guzman is a damn good fighter he just let his weight issues ***k up his career while Jr is a talentless bum with no notable wins.

I love how weight issues makes someone a fraud. Guzman earned his way to titles and beat some decent opposition when he was a really legit fighter. He beat Soto, Barrios, and Beltran, good wins at the time for sure. Chavez Jr has only beaten Zbik and Rubio, and is blatantly avoiding Sergio Martinez. Joan Guzman was the avoided guy at 130, Marquez and Pac never even entertained fighting him in a unification.

Guzman's resume, though not that good and f**ked up by his weight issues, is still better than Julio's.

Guzman has wins over Beltran, Barrios, Soto, Fuenka, and Sanchez. Julio has wins over Zbik, Manfredo, and Rubio. Even though Guzman wasted his talent a lot during his peak years witht he weight issues, he's still better than Julio until Julio proves otherwise. Guzman still has a shot to be a title holder at 140, depending on who he fights. There's a reason Marquez and Pacquiao didn't go anywhere near Joan from 06-08 at 130.

how is that so when Soto become become a bigger name after losing to Guzman? Theory isn't adding up.

We all know Guzman isn't a household name and doesn't bring a lot money to the table, we all get that. Nothing you or anyone else has said makes him a fraud though. The guy is a very talented fighter that has made numerous mistakes over the years and he's paid for it. He has like 150 fans.

Chavez on the otherhand, you watch HBO, you listen to the announcers and try to match what they are saying with what you're actually watching. It doesn't match. It's like they are describing some great fighter but what we see with our own eyes is some mediocre guy, nothing special about him one bit. That's fraudulent. They are selling us something that isn't as good as advertized.

Now you watch Guzman fight, you can tell he's talented. You can tell the man has skills. Nothing fraudulent at all. A wasted career maybe, but the skills were always there.
