Rumor still strong in Miami regarding Gamboa-Rios fallout

I wasn't sure what to think about Gamboa taking on Steward as his new trainer...I still don't. But I'm a little skeptical about these big name trainers, unless you're their main guy. Obviously, Wlad is a bigger fish than Yuri; he comes first. One thing about Ismael, you knew he was devoted to Gamboa. I hope everything works out for Yuri.

me too primo, i am somewhat skeptikal. Salas was local had a relationship with gamboa and gamboa wa shis biggest fish. I actually thought they had done a great job together and I am sad that they fell apart. This whole steward thing is not convinving me either bro, what is he going to do in 30 days of training that is going to help gamboa? nothing, I see Salas did a good job with rigondeaux and man i sure hope this wasnt a mistake by gamboa

IMO, you need communication with your trainer. I don't think Gamboa and Steward can fully understand each other and/or needs a interruptor. A wack ass move on Gamboa's part.

Im not happy with the change, he should of went with Pedro Diaz if anything

Man these rumors better be just that, rumors. I would hate for Gamboa, such a bright young star to have to screw up his career all in an effort to make one good payday. Salas was doing good for him, if it aint broke why fix it?

Whatever, there are more excuses for Gamboa now if he loses >_>

if gamboa can box effectivley,, fo 12 rounds and stays off the ropes ill give him a fair shot,,potshot all night if he has tooo,, but rios had a KILLER inside game which is why i think he'll ko him in the later rounds...

i really do hope gamboa stays away from the ropes tho!
