He is young though, and I expect that he will morph into his own person in the following years as he matures. Stylistically he will fight the same because he is a slickster, but I hope he grows out of the antics and drops the whole "next Mayweather" mantra. Be the first Adrian Broner!

In anycase, he looked tremendous last night!
there is a fine line between emulating and influence. The fact that he is "emulating" mayweathers is the reason why he might be a great fighter. His defense is solid and he's young and powerful. His style would be comparable to the "older" 30+ Mayweather. He isn't anywhere near the 130lb Mayweather in anyway.

I like Broner, but I need to see him step up in competition for me to be a true believer. As of now I think he is a very good/skilled fighter with a lot of potential.

who the hell wants to be floyd anyway! broner is his own man. . . he actually has real power. . .

i just hope he stays funny, lighthearted, laid back, and chill. . And doesn't become ignorant, racist, hateful, WHINY, and defensive like Floyd. . Stay relaxed, stay funny!

He definitely has the Mayweather style to a tee. And I agree, he should find his own style.

We know he can fight similar to Mayweather. But can he adjust like Mayweather? Adapt like Mayweather? Or out-think his opponent like Mayweather?

That's the question that needs to be answered.

I AGREE .....I like Broner but I want to see how his style would fair vs more elite competition. As of now he has impressed me but he won't be the truth until he gets a tougher test.

why hasn't Pac done that in 3 tries?

where do you get 40lbs from?
Pac has done more than Floyd will ever do. And he weighed over the 147 limit during the official weigh in. Got fined. And game in unofficially nearly 40lbs over on fight night
you didn't watch the fight? Try doing some research before you speak. You wont look as bad.

thats my thing with his style. he can emulate floyd very well, but does he understand why floyd does what he does? does he understand when to switch it up like floyd, etc. knowing what/how a person does something and knowing why they do it are two very different things. kinda the same issue i have with donaires rjj impersonation, which, imo, he sucks at.

He'll eventually get there. I hope. Floyd is a very special fighter, if someone starts being compared to Floyd they should be happy. If someone starts being compared to Floyd and begins to be hated on, they should be very happy as they are definitely doing something right.
