So far 2 people admitted that PDL beat him, but I believe Broner does beat him now, however that doesn't change that we all believe he lost when they first met.

        2 things:

        1) ponce did not beat his ass. That was a close fight, could have gone either way.

        2) if broner fights him now, he murks him juanma style.

Personally, I thought Ponce did beat Broner in their fight; he outworked him, and avoided most of Broner's big shots. . . I think I had it 96-94 Ponce; 6 rounds to 4. . .

It was kinda like the JLC vs. Floyd I fight. . JLC simply outworked Floyd, and landed more punches. . But Floyd still didn't really get beat down, and it was definitely close enough to give the fight to Floyd without it being called a robbery. . .

Of course JLC is a LOT more quality than Ponce, but the concept is the same - one guy simply not throwing enough and getting outworked and outhustled.

What I find funny is how good he looks emulating Floyd. He is an outstanding boxer and really does look like Floyd in the ring, even little facial mannerisms. My wonder lies in how much good it might be for him to be himself. I think its clear he wants to be like Floyd; his style and persona reflects that. He is young though, and I expect that he will morph into his own person in the following years as he matures. Stylistically he will fight the same because he is a slickster, but I hope he grows out of the antics and drops the whole "next Mayweather" mantra. Be the first Adrian Broner!

In anycase, he looked tremendous last night!

Im not saying he's Floyd but people keep talking about the Ponce fight without bringing up the fact that he's a Southpaw. Broner was young and even a ton of vets dont know how to fight Southpaws. I said back then that people are too down on him after the Ponce fight. I think being a lefty is the biggest advantage in all of pro sports.

I said you put him in with a righty and he'll look 10x better. Sure enough he's been dominant ever since. It wasnt that Ponce is so great or that Broner isnt that great. Its that he didnt know how to attack or deal with a Southpaw.
