Yep indeed. Gamboa can't live with Rios in a firefight.

If Rios wins it'll be via a one single punch KO but don't expect him to land much aside from that.
Does a fight have to be a brawl to be great? There are some intriguing challenges to both men, here. It will be interesting to see how they handle the fight, and whose game-plan wins out. Brandon is a warrior and Gamboa is too aggressive to "dance" all night. This fight will not disappoint.

I'm with you on that... He may win a round, if he does it will in the beginning when Gamboa starts slowly and cautiously.

When fighters can land their combinations so easily like Gamboa will against Rios, they have a tendency to gain false confidence. They think "ok I'll just keep doing this and I'll chop him down and get him out of there". Then while they're still connecting they're taking punishment in return.

If Rios is healthy at 135 I think he'll be able to eat Gamboa's shots, and being able to land those shots could lull Gamboa into a false sense of security. It happens all the time with superior fighters when fighting guys who can take their punches.

I dont think rios is gonna be able to take gamboas shots too well. Im not sayin gamboa is gonna KTFO rios, but he will stop him in his tracks each and every time I believe, and because rios is slow with whack footwork and horrible lateral movement, Im callin for a easy night for yuri. the discrepancy in skill is too much for this one.

If there's one flaw with Gamboa it's his mental lapses. He's got all the skills and talent in the world and a lot of times he's got a high boxing IQ...but there are times when he's doing things that just make you shake your head. Can't be having that happen against a Brandon Rios outweighing you by 20 pounds.
