I feel like he is lucky there are no genuinely dangerous and effective pressure fighters around in the HW division today or he would be in some real trouble

To his credit though he keeps his volume up and manages to avoid the big head shots with a little lean back, he has decent reflex's and a good perception of range. We are Praising Chisora for his performance but Vitali still clearly won the fight, he is good.

I know he is 40 or whatever and maybe past his past but im damn sure watching that fight that a Tyson for example would have a field day with him, close the gap, smash his ribs in and then **** him about

True enough. But in the 3 fights where he has shown this vulnerability he has never had a plan B.

I can agree with all of this. Good post as usual.

Adamek is hugely overrated. Grant, Maddalone and Golota don't make for a great resume. He was badly exposed by Vitali.

The guy was 39 and 40 years old, and won damn near every round of every one of those fights, and was apparently injured in this last fight.

There is some unwarranted over-judgemental opinions going on around here.

Adamek still put up a better fight than Haye, he just wasn't good enough a heavyweight to compete with Vitali. Haye was good enough to do better, he just didn't because he's a punk.

vitalis injury was less serious then hayes toe (dead serious)

what happened was vitalis as always has trouble with guys who can take his punch while pressuring him.

No he didn't man. It's not scaled to their abilities. Adamek didn't even come close to landing one meaningful punch, and contrary to what people say, he really didn't try too hard.

Haye bull-rushed once in a while with overhand right hands where Adamek never threw punches like that. Not saying Haye did it enough, but he most certainly did better AND gave more of an effort than Adamek. The Adamek out on his shield thing against Vitali is nothing but a myth based off of reputation.

He didn't have too much trouble.

Over-judgmental, really? What fight did he show the ability to adjust and go to a plan B with?
