marciano couldve only been beaten by a prime joe louis and a prime muhammad ali. he couldve bulled and KOd any other HW in history. lennox lewis is no exception.
a very hard hitter with a sturdy chin facing a hard hitting boxer with a weak chin. its not hard to predict what'll happen in this scenario.

When looking at these mythical matchups we need to be careful...boxing was dfferent back then, boxing is differnt today.
The matchup we are talking about here pits a light heavyweight vs. a monster HW. Why dont we just ask who would win Lennox Lewis or Antonio Tarver (not comparing Tarver to Marciano so calm down)?
I think a good rule of thumb when talking about mythcial matchupos and ESPECIALLY the HW champ ones is to rate them just like you do your P4P list.
If you think Lennox is a better p4p fighter then Marciano then you go with Len or vice versa with Rock.
If you are simply asking who would win LL or Marciano then you gotta go with Lennox, hell you may even take Lennox over Ali and Louis because of the size and style.
Is Lennox a better p4pounder then Louis or Ali? **** no....but heads up he poses serious problems for any all time HW.
Bernard Hopkins vs. James Toney...remember this fight was supposedly going to come off? Who would have won? The HW Toney or the natural middlewight Hopkins?
Toney would annihilate Nard but that is not to say that Toney is the better fighter...good rule of thumb...dont ask who would win ask who is the better p4p fighter.Comment

Totally agree. It's pretty ridiculous to ask whether a 5'10" 185 lb HW champ could beat a 6'5" 245 lb one. Well, ok, at least an accomplished one like LL (i.e. you could ask whether Rock could beat Jess Willard and keep a straight face, but not LL).Originally posted by scapComment

Whoever says Marciano would've won this one is a big Lewis hater, a big Marciano nuthugger or both. Lewis would've KO'd him, TKO, or just get him stopped on cuts.
