I could say that I was going to KO Vitali Klitschko in 25 seconds of the first round, and you could bet on it, doesn't mean it will happen...
    What are you on about?

If a fighter says the round in which he's going to stop the other opponent to the world media it's seen more as a gimmick. I'm sure Ali, behind closed doors, got his friends & family to bet on these rounds - but he never disclosed this bit to the media.

      Definitely south-asian origin

And yes, you're right here. Froch's made a mistake. Hopefully the BBBofC don't go in on him too hard

I've already acknowleged that Froch is a tool for talking about it publicly, still doesn't make it Illegal. And you yourself have just said that you reckon Ali did the same thing?

I'm not sure what point your trying to make? :S

I doubt he made much from it is all i'm saying lol

Although i've left you a great opportunity to get back at me for the little jab i got you with in the Khan thread
Oh nah I wasn't trying to get at you with a jab or anything.

To be honest there are so many "athletes" who have brought out auto-biographies at ridiculous times (i.e at the age of like 21 & **** like that).

Auto-biographies should always be left til the end of a career as far as I'm concerned.

I remember Haye got into a bit of trouble over similar comments about family/friends betting on a specific round in the Harrison fight. He 'retracted' his comments though, and i think he got away with it

The point I was making is that there is a difference between what Froch has done and what Ali did.

I see no problem with this. It's not as if his opponents were in on it.

The difference was talking about it in Public. (by your own admission)

so really there isn't a difference either both committed fraud or neither did...

                  :S

Haye did this against Harrison and now Froch admitting something similar.

Now you know why Brits are so keen on fighting tomato can bums. They can control the outcome and allow their jack ass acquaintances to make a couple quid.
