The truth is that if you are going to make it seem like you are moving up and taking on legacy worthy challenges, they should actually be legacy worthy.

His catchweight fights were NOT legacy worthy.

His fight against banned cheater Margarito@154lbs was DEFINITELY NOT legacy worthy.

Take those fights away and Pacquiao's run at WW begins to look like what it really always was:

Average.

You continue to avoid his 40 fights against bums.

You partially address the catchweights but avoid discussing the effect they have on his WW run.

You constantly avoid discussing the fact that DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and Mosley were ALL coming off the biggest losses of their careers before Pacquiao was willing to face them. Manny was being actively pursued by them while they were on top, but he refused to fight them.

That's not an impressive record. An impressive record comes from fighting the best and winning. The best are those ranked 1, 2 and 3. How many fighters were at the top when Pacquiao fought them?

Pacquiao got knocked out by bums. He got outboxed by a man not known for his boxing skills: Erik Morales! JMM has shown the world that Pacquiao is a lot of hype.

You can believe whatever you like. Maybe Pacquiao is great by YOUR standards, but he is hardly great because he padded his record with 40 fights, got knocked out twice against the bums he was padding his record against, and then began stipulating catchweight fights to make it seem like he was doing something special when he came in the ring heavier than his most of his opponents on fight night.

He was only called a coward after the fact coz he won. And only haters do it. Pac-Oscar was a superfight money wise and was only feasible thru an agreed weight which was 147. Nobody complained when Pacquiao was trying to fight Cotto. Even Cotto mentioned that he's in the best shape of his life. If Cotto felt he was in the disadvantage he could HAVE NOT SIGNED the contract like what he did now. The Margarito and JMM fight was in favor of JMM and Margarito. The Margarito was because of the BELT and JMM needed an advantage because he is not used to 147. Why not complain about JMM's...Pac did the same thing to fight Cotto.

Again catchweight was invented to make a fight happen between a smaller fighter and a big fighter. Plain and simple. Pac just so happen to win his catchweight fights...and he does have many haters.
