Floyd is right and black people we know this. Lin presents a "cleaner wholesome" image just how white people like it so they will promote the hell out of lin. He's smart, not black. Lin is a smart well spoken asian man amongst hordes of black thugs. Thats how white people think about this whole thing. Floyd on point. and floyd in no way takes anything away from Lin in saying so.I dont take anything away from him. Lin , and the league and medias reaction to him are two very different things.

Lin scored more points in his first 4 starts than MJ, Iverson, or any other player since the NBA/ABA merger. Lots of guys – black, white, whatever – can score regularly, and Lin may not continue to be this effective, but nobody has come out of nowhere to carry a team like he has.
and he went to harvard i read! not bad half the nba's full of thugs n stuff! stop knockin the little yellow guys hustle! i seen him run up and down that court more then your "black players" (not makin it a racial thing) but the kid is good!Comment

lmao i don't think people care about records like thatI swear to god, sometimes espn looks for the ******est things to make records out of.
*espn announcer:
And if you see here, Kyrie Irving has scored more points after drinking Gatorade and scratching his balls in NBA history!
Lin's run, still impressive. Whether or not he sticks I don't know, but people are just stepping on him for his success. Don't know whyComment

People r making a big deal about this not only because Lin is Asian, but because this same guy has led an underachieving Knicks team (missing it's 2 biggest stars) to a 5 game, and counting, winning streak. Most importantly, he was just a few games away from being cut for christ's sakes. Extreme underdog stories are always going to gain notoriety (Buster Douglas defeating Mike Tyson, the 1980 US Hockey team et al). Although him being Asian, and playing in the nation's largest media market has added fuel to the fire, his play as well as the circumstances surrounding it would've have made this a big story regardless.Comment

How is Floyd mostly right when he claims that the sole reason for Lin's fame is his Asian heritage? That's simply untrue. Sure, his heritage may add novelty to an already compelling story, but you often see other athletes receive similar kind of attention. Just look at the attention Venus Williams received when she came on to the scene (a black chick from the hood excelling at a mostly white upperclass sport). Hell, even the Jamaican bobsled team are household names and they suck balls. lolComment
