It's bit off subject Jab, but since it seems that you have always followed the HW's, what do you think about Deontay Wilder? I'm seeing him fight for the first time next weekend in STL on the undercard of the Alexander-Mattysshe fight. I don't follow HW a whole lot so I never seen him fight, all I know is he's 20-0 with all wins by knockout. Of course he hasn't fought anyone good yet it seems, but I'm just wondering what to expect from him going into the fight.

Are you saying that a temporary pizza face while losing two/thirds of the fight is MORE effective than 156 retirement/nightmare inducing punches that ends a boxing career abruptly (well.. not abruptly...it took almost a year to be official)?
Please restore my faith in you... jabs & give us the accurate answer..... thx in advance!Comment

Good to hear, thanks for the input. They haven't posted his opponent yet, but this being his 21st fight I'm sure it will be against weak opposition. As long as he's exciting to watch then I will be satisfied with his fight next weekend.Comment

Most of us know it isn't who is ahead on the cards after 6 rounds, but who's hand is raised at the end of the fight. There are countless examples throughout history where a fighter down on the cards has come back to get a stoppage. People just need to accept this and move on instead of making excuses.Comment

I have answered the question. Vitali's punches had more long term effect while Lennox's left a scar that has been fully healed for 8 yrs now. I'm all about the end game. Vitali's punches left more OF an impression on Lennox. Your answer is as plain as black & white. One fighter was willing to get a second helping of those punches he received while one refused a second sampling BECAUSE HE HAD seen enough.... kapish or are you still going to tell me my answer for me... son?Last edited by jimmy1569; 02-16-2012, 05:43 AM.Comment

I really don't give a flying fuck, to be honest.
I haven't seen the fight in a minute, but I do remember the MASSIVE shots Vitali was eating in the 6th round.
This isn't a taking a shot at Vit, as just about any HW would have been took out by those uppercuts Lewis was landing.
You can say what you will about him, but V.K's chin is made out of granite.Comment

The amount of rounds a fighter won doesn't matter if that fighter gets stopped. When a fighter gets stopped he still loses the fight, regardless of how many rounds he was winning on he judges scorecards. There have been fighters that were up by way more than 4 rounds to 2 on judges scorecards and lost the fight because they got stopped. And just so you know, Vitali is really the only Heavyweight fighter I really like to watch today. I think he is the best in the division over his brother. This has nothing to do with me disliking Vitali, this is just the truth.Comment

Believe that... if you ever notice the few times fighters do connect with a power shot or two flush on his face.. that his head springs back immediately after absorbing the shot.. Time & time again... we've seen examples of this.. Areolla... Solis & even Briggs got a lucky shot or two in. HE ANTICIPATES the impact.. so even when he's caught completely by surprise... his natural instinct is to brace himself as this line of defense is greatly attributed to his kickboxing days where he had to rely on reflexes to avoid incoming. He got hit with 3 or 4 shots flush unexpectedly By Sanders & Lewis that have taken down other fighters on impact like his brother,, Rahman.. Grant.. Golota.. Botha.. Ruddock.Comment
