I think its because he sees things through that prism and the media reports through that prism. I agree with him to a certain extent. Unfortunately, floyd seems to see EVERYTHING through this prism. which of course is wrong.

I'm sure a lot other alhletes feel the same way Floyd does but what's the point of voicing it out? What does he gain from it? Nothing, if anything he will get more hate which is why I don't understand because after the hate comes floyd will start crying again about how america doesn't stand by Him. Wtf kinda ***** is that. Like I said if Floyd would think before he speak he will gain a lot more respect and fans but it's clear that Floyd doesn't care about any of that I just hate when the Media gets at him then he trys to play mr.innocent and say everyone is against him. I don't understand this dude he's consider as one of the best In his era but he can never give the same respect to others that he crys for in return.

The point of voicing it out is debateable. And we agree it brings him more negative press and hate. Maybe ultimately thats all he wants is more press regardless of how it is attained.
Floyd is ****** to think he can take on the media through the media. But in some cases I agree with some of his statements, particulalry when the comparisons are uneven, as I believe they are now, as I pointed out to Oxn.

Reading a lot of these replies from the one that sides with what floyd said Seems like u guys is tryin to make it seem like Americans is looking for a hero so when Lin came along the hype was on. Pleaseeee there's a lot of black players that got all these attention when it was their time to shine. Really dude? I can care what color or race he is, but it doesn't erase the fact that much of his hype, is because he is Asian in a predominately black sport. If you want to get into race issues, we can, because the NBA media itself is racist....a player gets into a fight in the NBA, he's a thug, belongs in the hood, shouldn't be allowed to play, let's give them a technical if they show any type of emotion on the court....white hockey players can slap guys from behind with sticks to the face and fight and its cool and glorified, white baseball players can go from high school into MLB, throw a 90mph at the head of another player, because he took to long to run the bases, its part of the game. NBA, no you can't come in from high school, your making our game worse, you have to do at least one year in college, so the NCAA can pimp you, then you can come play for us. NBA players here is a dress code, you are scaring our white fan base, by dressing hip hop(gang ****er fashion) and displaying tattoos. Football: Black QB's rely on athleticism and god given ability(as if no work was put in for years), while white QB's are smart, quick thinking, precise, get the most out of their ability.....please don't come on here with this blacks/American disliking Lin cause he's Asian crap, last time I checked it was his black teammate telling the coach to let Lin play. This story is definitely about race. Lin and so many people like him that werent black, tattoos, cornrolls, and didnt act like a thug are victims of institutionalized racism in Basketball.

Lin couldnt even get a division I scholarship. As administrators in Golden State have publicly admitted, they didnt even see Lin play in an actual game and if they knew he could play like this they would have kept him. He was 5 days from being cut from the Knicks until two of their stars were out which by luck gave him an opportunity to finally play.

So sure this is about race, but I see the many Lins that werent Lucky enough to get a shot because he wasnt black.

Dude please go listen to Doug Gottlieb(spelling?) reference 10 day contracts and the NBA system itself, he stated there are a ton of guys who can play in the NBA, but are not given the free reign Lin has been given, its usually 5 minutes and don't screw up, where as Lin has been told, go out and just play, and given a real opportunity, because the team was desperate. Now with that said give Lin credit for stepping up to the plate and taking advantage, but again its not like he was some scrub, dude had NBA talent and fell into a system that plays to his strengths.....also why the hell would the Warriors even want to pay attention to him, when they have Ellis and Curry?

Wow, when did I say the NBA labels them as thugs???
