Was watching valero fights on Tuesday, thinking goddamn there's a lot of good fights with him in the mix. Had that Duran aura building up.

Too raw tho, definitely needed a new trainer and work environment and a bunch of things as well LOL

A lot of people like to poo-poo on Valero being untested, hypejob etc..

But from watching his fights you can see that he has something special about him that doesn't come around very often.

If you watch boxing and know boxing you can pick up on certain things from a fighter regardless of the level of opposition.

It's like being in the gym and seeing someone spar, you just know when a select few have that x factor. Valero definately had something.

Yes he would of been running through the division, the only guy who might have been capable of maybe beating him is Gamboa.

that would have been a boxing lesson Valero vs Rios would have been a decent fight though

Probably not. His best win was still Antonio DeMarco, who beat Linares, but was getting out classed until the KO. I just hope DeMarco gives Linares the rematch.

Guerrero, Marquez, Rios, Linares, would all have had a chance to beat him. And not to mention that Gamboa may be moving to LW for his next fight, and Broner is right there at 130.

It's too bad he was crazy and murdered his wife, along with himself.

Valero would have had big fights against a ton of people and a good shot to make himself an ATG. Had a bit of the Duran mystique going, though we never got to see what he could have been in the end.

Marquez, Rios, Linares, Guerrero, Broner, Gamboa, Burns, would have all been good fights at 135. He probably would have moved up to 140-147 eventually in his career, where he could have fought Khan, Bradley, Garcia, Paris, etc.

              Oh well.

he would have imploded one way or another so no we would be hearing about court dates and whatnot instead of title runs

this WILL be taken the wrong way

but he reminded me of manny pacquiao
he moved his whole body well. very explosive little puncher. he punched right through the target. great timing, too

the best i ever saw him look was the stuff of him in the gym and sparring

Actually Valero's best win was against Vincente Mosquera(his first title fight at 130).
