Margo could never have made 147 without fainting on the scales , he would have been as screwed as ODH was needing IV fluids , at the time of the Pac fight 150 was weight draining for Margo , notice Cotto wanted the Margo rematch at 150 , he knew , but so did Margo who said no way !
You're comparing a fighter who never made 147 in a decade to a guy who hadn't made 147 in a year. One younger, and one older. Bad comparison.

Margarito went to 154 because Pac needed another title and that's where Cotto was. It's all part of Arum's plan, he's too transparent these days. At least he used to sneaky.

Not comparing , just trying to explain Margos weight issues and how 150 at the time was really weight draining , but thats the only reason Pac forces them down , to weaken them , I was surprised Manny would demand another CW from Cotto , you would think with all the talk of weight draining Team Pac would know that the world is on to his draining scam , and then not only duck Cotto without a CW but thens run back down to the other end of the scale pick a 140 fighter , it just annoys me in how manipulating Manny is !

Oh yeah, I'm definitely not fooled by Team Pac and their antics, it's pathetic, but those that know boxing really know the truth of what's going on.

They have been trying to sell the whole "size disadvantage" for far too long and it's gotten lame. THERE IS MORE TO FIGHTING THAN JUST SIZE. Mayweather is hardly bigger, Duran, Armstrong, Whitaker, etc. all moved up without all of the propaganda of how small they were compared to facing bigger fighters.

I'm not here to argue whether a guy should get extra points for beating a guy bigger than him. That's another argument for another day.

However, fight night weight helps a lot. Why do you think guys like Clottey, Margarito, Chavez Jr. and others are able to walk through so many punches, and take so much punishment? When you rehydrated 17-20lbs above your weight class, your punch resistance increases tremendously.

Ask any fighter and they will tell you that is an advantage, both mentally and physically.

Speed and mobility is also an advantage to cancel out an advantage such as size, whatever happened to just developing gameplans that tailor to a fighter's strength instead of needing crap like catchweights to "even" the playing field.

            It's a pussey move.

Bring back same day weigh-ins and it makes all this BS moot.

You double standard *******s, how is 140 vs Marquez a disadvantage for Pacquiao? After all you guys claim Pac is a natural JWW. And the catchweight thing, he has won catchweight titles - these aren't just ordinary fights. His belt @ 154 is a joke against a joke opponent.
