Between Lampley screaming everytime Pac whiffed on a shot and acting like he just crushed JMM or the first 4 rounds of Manny Stewart talking about how fast and great Pac is only to reverse it after the 6th round was just so frustrating.

Anyway this is my point. In the last two rounds of that fight, everyone saw it as a close fight (except Letterman but what's new) and Manny Stewart said that JMM should go on the attack to win the fight, here's my HUGE problem with that.

If you line up Pac and JMM side by side and list their PHYSICAL attributes only, there's not one category where JMM wins......ZERO. Pac is faster, quicker, bigger, stronger, takes a better punch, hits harder than JMM. He is also an excellent counter puncher as well, something a lot of fans don't give Pac credit for.

So if JMM comes forward, isn't that the completely WRONG tactical thing to do because that will put you in danger of getting knocked down or possibly knocked out? See when Manny comes forward, he has the speed to avoid a lot of JMM counter shots but it wouldn't be the same in reverse.

So how the *** could Manny Stewart, a veteran of the sport and HOF trainer be asking for JMM to come forward and attack when that is the exact thing he should NEVER be doing vs a fighter like Pac?

    Am I wrong here?
Not for nothing, but I have been telling folks here that Steward was overrated for years.

Manny Steward cannot train anything but overly tall boxers. Every time he's tried, his student either loses or the leave him before they face any real competition.

Steward only knows how to train ONE WAY. He tries to make all of his fighters into tall fighters like Hearns or Lewis because it was those two fighters that got him a bit of fame as a trainer. Problem is, when all you have is a hammer everything begins to look like nails.

Look at what he did to Prince Naseem, Vivian Harris, Chad Dawson, Miguel Cotto ... he tried to make them into boring fighters who hide behind jabs and don't take chances until much later in the fight unless they are significantly taller and longer than their opponents like the Klitschko brothers.

It doesn't help his cause that he's been hired by HBO. Once anyone is hired by HBO, they push the HBO network agenda. Proof of this is that very seldom do any of the commentators disagree aside from Merchant .. who says random **** nowadays that confirms that he shouldn't even be on the broadcast.

Max Kellerman used to be a straight shooter. That's how he got to where he is. He had his own fanbase because he was something of a rebel who spoke his mind. Nowadays Kellerman has become just a mouthpiece.

All the HBO commentators are aside from Lederman.

It was disgraceful the way they insulted the intelligence of the viewers. They had the balls to send Kellerman out to give a speech about how fans didn't understand what they saw at ringside or on the PPV and HBO telecast. Bottles weren't thrown in the ring at Pacquiao because the masses thought he won fair and square.

Even Amir Khan on the Sky broadcast was heard stating that Pacquiao had lost, and that Manny should regroup and come back stronger than ever. When your fellow stablemate says that **** on broadcast for the world to hear, you know you've lost. Khan recanted later, but the damage had been done because his honest opinion was given in the heat of the moment.

    The hypocrisy is nothing new.

I remember how ole George Foreman used to be an HBO mouthpiece. Every fight Oscar DelaHoya was in Foreman talked about him like he was literally made of gold and could do no wrong.

The day, however, came when Roy Jones fought John Ruiz, and Lampley and Merchant decided to attack and degrade Jones' bid for a portion of the HW title. It was one of the first times that I have ever seen a commentator not sound scripted. Foreman let them have it. Anyone remember?

Roy Jones, as a commentator, has often told his fellow commentators that they don't understand the game as they have never boxed. I loved it when he basically told them that "You can appreciate, but better not pontificate ... at least to him".

JMM stopped nearly every offensive strike that Manny Pacquiao attempted. You don't have to win a fight by knocking your opponent out. JMM shut Pacquiao down while getting his own offense off. Anyone saying differently has an agenda.

In the first two fights, I thought JMM did enough to win, but it was debatable. This third fight really was not. Pacquiao looked impotent, and the networks, Roach, Arum and Ariza have made every excuse under the sun from foot blisters to cramps to Nacho stabbing a voodoo doll with Pacquiao's likeness.

Go watch the fight again and then count the rounds that Pacquiao could have conceivably won. You may come up with 4 if you're honest.

    Nice post, BushBaby.

But I'm not buying the JMM is smaller than Pac bs, JMM has a longer reach, he's slightly taller and was heavier on fight night, Pacquiao isn't a WW, dude can still make 140 easy, maybe 135 who knows...

      They are the greatest

You're wrong..Both JMM and Pac have their reach measured at 67".

Manny's footwork was garbage. All he used ot for was to jump in, throw meaningless punches & dart away. He coudn't trap Marquez, he never hurt him & Roach was begging for a ko. Compubox was way way of. Most people don't know that its just some guy tapping away at punches that he believes landed. If Merchant or that other idiot were doing compu box, you'd swear the fight was a 1 sided beating in favor of Pacman.

And my reply was I guess Marquez face tells a different story.....
And no where In my post does that mean Pacman didn't land any punches.

Green K and I couldn't have said it better myself. The part about Kellerman is so true and so sad that he has turned into just another mouth piece.

What does any of this have to do with my reply about how Marquez face tells a different story. And please show me where I accuse u of saying manny didnt land a punch.

[I also saw Donaires face last weekend in a fight he dominated. What does what a fighters face look like have to do with anything? Did you see Pawell's face in the 1st fight with Delvin, he didn't lose BTW.]

Ur reply to what I said about Marquez face tells a different story.
