Is it conceivable that Arum would pay a fighter to lose?

White collar crime has always been easier to turn the other cheek toward than blue collar crime. That's because white collar crime is usually committed by college educated men. You can thank those same guys for the American economy, the housing crisis, the broken American healthcare system and a plethora of other crimes against the people.
    You make a great point.

With Don King he was a street thug and had ties to organized crime, so you kind of expected him to do shady ****.

But since Bob Arum is Ivy League educated I guess it's just harder for me to picture him behaving like a criminal. That is naive on my part though, you are absolutely right.

And I wasn't aware that Arum had already been caught bribing judges and fixing fights.

      • so if arum has to bribe pac's opponent to win fights, what does that tell you? pac is really not that good, no? that's why pbf is such a coward. take the test, pac! i want $100 million! i want 70/30! no test, no fight! no training in philippines! may 5th, cinco de mayo, take it or leave it! 50/50 is off the table!

        what a joke.

Lets pick the smallest little Filipino fighter and pay off all his fights and hope it never leaks out in the mainstream and nobody ever comes clean and exposes the truth. Lets put our career and names and freedom on the line and risk it all on Manny Pacquiao! lol lol I am so entertained by this level of ******ity heheeeeeee
I have to admit this is a good point and Prbly the best post I've ever seen from you but also it's bob arum were talking about Harvard lawyer he's got friends in high places and friends in low high places of you know what I'm saying so I'm sure he could keep something quite if he wanted to and if it went to court what's the point of having money if you can't use it to stay outta jail mayweathers proof of that

            • no question Arum fix fights...and so does Oscar and GBP especially for guys like Chavez Jr and Canelo...guys that are not really all that talented or skilled...but because of their Following, both Promotions want to cash in both fighters fame in Mexico

but you can only protect these guys for so long, eventually a Mandatory will come along and expose them all

when you keep everything IN HOUSE...I think fans should be su****ious and it shows in the JMM fight with Pacquiao, we seen that nothing really has changed with Pacquiao since they last fought...Arum was just Feeding him SLOW FLAT FOOTED FIGHTERS

Arum should be nominated for an OSCAR for Best Writer and Best Director For A Boxers Career lol He did a great job with Oscar and has done a great job with Pacquiao

But the more I watch Bob operate the more I wouldn't put it past him. Especially after seeing that interview with JMM where claims he was told it was ""business not personal."

                What say you?
                Yes. Clottey.

Rubio did not look at all like the same guy that took out Lemieux. It was almost as if he was holding back.

But then again Chavez Jr. is a big middleweight.
Rubio IMO has been paid to lose to Ouma, Pavlik, Chavez Jr.

The guy that beat Lemieux doesnt show up when he gets to the big stage.

He had Ouma out in the first round, then let himself get outworked to lose a UD.

Talked about power and knockouts and did jack **** against Pavlik.

You guys just saw the same thing against JCC Jr.
