Is it conceivable that Arum would pay a fighter to lose?

    Possible, but doubt it.

Most fighters are too proud for that sort of **** and it would be really obvious.

These are boxers not actors. Don't think this happens much if at all at the highest levels of boxing.

However Pac is special case. Arum seems obsessed with Pacquiao becoming future president of the Philippines. A loss at this point in Pac's career might mean the disillusionment of a large group of Filipinos and that could cost him an election.

It's in Arum's fanatical interests to make sure these enamored fans stay enamored so that Pac can make a decent run as President. So much so that he could be making backroom deals so that Pac ends his career with a string of victories and a legendary legacy which could ease him to the presidency 10 years down the road.

Who knows whether these are valid assumptions?

If you were going tO pay a fighter to lose in order to hype another of your fighters wouldn't you get them to lose to a spectacular ko rather than a boring ud?

              AHAHAHAHA good fellow indeed.

But if he was paid to lose, he did a bad job at it, wasn't convincing enough. At least try to go out like a warrior.

Arum be turning boxing into WWE, scripted results to fights. Would be great to know how he's going to turn Bradley VS Pacquiao, so I can put my savings into the fight and know that I will win.

I truly think that Arum paid Clottey and Mosley to lose. Neither guy has ever looked as bad in a fight and both have been in the ring with top guys. Also, I'm wondering what's taking so long for the official annoucement of Pacquiao vs Bradley. They said Team Pacquiao had already signed there end of the deal and was waiting on Team Bradley. I'm wondering is there something in the contract that Tim is hesitant about. It makes me feel like something isn't right. Could Arum have told Bradley that he has his opportunity to make a big payday but is not there to win??? Anything is possible in this corrupt sport.
