  • Julio Ceasar Chavez Junior -Own Up To It

I watched the fight this passed week and nothing about his performance changed my mind about his place in boxing. I was looking at the fight much dissatisfied with the pace and overall unity in his corner. Between Freddie Roach, Ariza and his father JCC Sr I am surprised the kid can get any instructions at all. His father stands there expressionless swinging his arms and shadow boxing with his son in the dressing room and then leads him down the isle like some kind of dictator. It has to be hard for this kid being in this situation. I was thinking all of this without knowledge of his DWI prior to the fight and or his weight issues.

Post fight my mind set has changed dramatically overall. Seeing how he handled the media, his corner and Rubio and still manged to win the bout and then admit if he fought the way he did tonight against Martinez he would have lost really opened my ears. Here is a young kid pretty much on the top of the world admitting that he needs more training and that he is human and makes mistakes. I take my hat off too him for that. Overall he has improved some and I like his heart and the fact he does not abandon his game plan no matter what......LEFTY

His father should shut the f**k up and stay in his seat at ringside. He had no business coming over the Julio's corner when Roach and Ariza were talking to him and everything.

I agree with Julia Sr staying out of it. I mean i was surprised freddie didnt step out of the ring and knocked him the fokkk out for real. Freddie is the trainer, you are not part of the corner show some respect.

        Nice thread.

I was laughing everytime senior would try and sneak in some instructions to his son. Typical parent that has his koed involved in sports, except this is a pro boxing match lol.

Thanks I am just trying to talk about topics that are real. It reminded me of a kids soccer game and the dad can't keep off the field until the umpire or reff throws his a$$ off the field for good. Well see TBC.....LEFTY

No one is going to come in and admit they were wrong. They would rather just call Jr and Rubio bums. Check out the threads from 2 weeks ago, Rubio was going to ko him lol.

Now they're starting rumors about him sneaking out of a drug test.

I don't blame junior, but what are your thoughts of him coming in as a cruiserweight for a middleweight title fight?

Chavez Jr is what he is a B Level fighter with a A+++++ name. He can be an A figher if he is brought along correctly. Rubio was a good test a boxer puncher with enough power to hurt Chavez but not one punch KO power. Not many fighters can ever be the same after getting knocked the F - - K out you know? Just ask Roy Jones or Paul Williams it takes a certain type of desire to come back from that. I would like to see JCC test the waters against a SMW or fight a Kelly Pavlik at 164 or something to jump in the SMW division. I think there is more money there for him and better quality fights. As for his trainer and SR they need to get someone in there to really look after the kid. Robert Garcia is working well with Ortiz they need to make that marriage happen. ==========> LeFtY GuNzZ
