I give him a lot of credit though... at the end of the day, his dad can't get in there and fight for him. He's gotta get in there and win the fights himself, which he's done so far. He definitely won't be what his dad was, but a lot of sons of former boxers never made it as far as he has on his own either.

He will never crawl from under the shadow of his father and anything less than him accomplishing the same things as his father will be met at the end of his career with "He wasn't as good as his father though"

Too bad he didn't fight Oscar De La Hoya, that could have redeemed him in some sorts.
And could have always used the triangle theory to justify he was greater than his father.
He can even use Floyd's justifications, there is no blueprint to beat me, and my father has got losses on his record.
