khan will break that jaw again... easy work for khan... it will be like cotto-margarito 2... late stoppage, with ortiz retiring after the fight...

Common sense says Khan will get hit with them; his defence is atrocious.
The slow, plodding Maidana was hitting him without much trouble, Peterson hit him with no problems...Ortiz for his many flaws and lack of heart can actually take some big punches and keep going, he also has good speed and very good power.
The people who have beat Ortiz have stood and fought him, Khan runs.Last edited by gmc_rfc_06; 06-25-2012, 06:51 AM.Comment

Yes and logic says when Ortiz gets hit, he drops or gives up. He once showed heart which was Berto.Common sense says Khan will get hit with them; his defence is atrocious.

Khan hits faster and nearly as hard than anyone Ortiz has faced. His footwork isn't the best but he has a lot of speed in his legs so Ortiz would not find it as easy to hit him.
Peterson and Maidana took shots to land shots, Ortiz is not a guy who likes to take shots when you look at him overall.
The other issue is, both start fast and fade around the 6th, but Khan IMO can gut it out and win by TKO or stoppage. Khan already defeated him in the amateurs, apparently Ortiz quit by frustration. Some say the 20pt system but I am not sure.
All I know is, Ortiz fades very quickly when he takes flush shots.Comment

Khan does not hit anywhere near as hard as Berto or Maidana. Fast? Absolutely, but he also has no defence and a poor chin. Ortiz is very flawed, but Khan's style is one that would make for a good fight and he could be stopped with one flush shot; in no way would it be easy work.Yes and logic says when Ortiz gets hit, he drops or gives up. I don't think either guy reacts well to big punches so I wouldn't single one of them out for it; Ortiz gets frustrated and becomes open, Khan goes rubber legged and runs for dear life.Comment
