Because they don't pay attention. There are obviously fighters who refuse to leave home and hold belts hostage, Pirog isn't one of them. The guy just can't get anyone to fight him.

Utter bull****!...Dibella has already stated that the fight was offered to Pirog in America, but dmitry didn't want to leave the comforts of home, and actually fight on neutral territory in America. Does this seem like the act of true champion to anybody?

I think a better solution is for the top 10 fighters to grow some nuts and actually fight him
point is Pirog is in No position to demand shit and he is beating unranked fighters right now anyway, if he would have fought unranked guys like Lara or Dzinziruk on HBO/showtime undercards yes he would make less money but he would put himself in a position to demand a fight.
what is he ranked now #8 at MW?

Yes, that's exactly what he has to do as long as he fights in the US. Premium cable networks and other fighters aren't interested in him exactly because nobody knows who the hell he is. Get a couple highlight reel knockouts on ESPN against bums and that will help him a ton. Outside of a few flukes, almost everyone else in the world had to fight on ESPN FNF, Solo Boxeo, Versus, or on whatever other low grade cable channels before getting on HBO and Showtime. Pirog's problem is that he thinks he could skip all that because he has a paper belt.

yeah would you fight for $45,000 on ESPN against a bum or $1 million in russia?

His goal is HBO/Showtime, if not he's gotta get paid man.

he has 19wins, none really of note.
And Rigondeaux has 9 wins and people want him to fight Donaire right now.

It's not about total fight numbers, it's about the best fighting the best and a unification. That should be what all boxing fans want.

u want ppl to fight u, keep winning, someone will eventually give u a shot. ask sergio martinez. and as mentioned, lara wanted to fight him, but he didnt jump at that.
it depends on what the offer was from Lara. Lara has never fought at 160 pounds before so he's not ranked there. Was HBO or Showtime interested? Did they offer any money? Nope.

he said something like if USA TV networks put up money for that fight he will fight him even tho that would be undercard type of a fight, guy thinks he is a main event fighter already for some reason

His management said he'd fight Lara on HBO/Showtime.

Seriously, the excuses need to stop. Hes clearly the biggest threat to Sergio at MW.
