Why dont he fight at 154 to pu pressure on the likes of Cotto, Floyd, ect?

Why diese he óseos fightig stiffs at MW instead of taking on the best in his división?
How would that put any pressure on them?

Williams and Pavlik are bigger names than anyone at 154 currently.

And if Cotto is too scared to take the risk now, hes not gonna change his mind if Sergio beats anyone at 154

Martinez is an idiot for re-signing with DiBella. He had all the chances in the world last year to move to the next level in his career. He wanted to fight the big names but then re-signed with a small time promoter. All the fault is on him.

Who are you, Martinez's actual trainer?!?! Talk about delusional hater. Indulge, go ahead and try to make yourself believe that garbage; my dude has one of the best resumes on the planet. Mayweather rather fight Mosley years later and that fight was a clear UD. You *****s never face the fact that Mayweather vs DLH was DRAW TOO! AND MAY VS JOSE LUIS CASTILLO WAS A ROBBERY! **** outta here, you support duckers while my boy gets revenge on dangerous opponents Mayweather was scared of. Turns out he had a good reason too, the mother***a was cheating!

Cotto doesn't know the word scared. That's for *****es like Martinez and his fooled ***ryders buying into this ****. Pavlik was coming out of being in and out of rehab when he lost to Martinez and Williams already got exposed by Quintana, whom he beat in similar fashion to the way he was beaten by Martinez. You can't be for real and say Martinez is a more accomplished fighter than Cotto and that he's scared. Honestly. The man just fought a tough fight with a bigger son of a ***** who doesn't know the word stop. He needed to avenge that L, wtf is the problem with that? It's not like he breezed by Pacman without a beating. And now he signs to fight arguably the best fighter of this era and he's scared of Martinez? Tell Martinez's trainer to relax because if he's so great his time will come, whether it's with Cotto or not. GTFO! Go Home. Stop it.

yeah pretty much. i mean if he signed with top rank, he'd have a hard time fighting gbp fighters and vice versa, but it's way better being on one company than staying with dibella imo. and haha, martinez' trainer is crazy for calling cotto a 'c-class' fighter. you can tell they truly dislike the guy now after all this time. it is what it is, his fans and himself can only talk, cotto is the one who is unwilling to get in the ring. martinez should just focus on the MW division and if the mayweather fight opportunity comes again (hopefully later in the yera) then we'll see what happens.

I semi agree, Cotto is very brave, he does have a good resume, he will make the HoF but, he understands that a Martinez fight will Hattonize him. If Cotto does have blind courage and is willing to step in the ring with Martinez then he should be thankful his camp isn't that ******. Don't feel bad, the same thing would happen to Mayweather or Pac so you are in good company.

And to all the morons saying Sergio needs to clean out his division, who's left? Seriously, tell me one MW that has a good resume that Martinez needs to clean out?

I understand that Team Martinez are upset because of unsuccessfully trying to get a mega fight, BUT it is not professional of them to talk down about someone because of it.

They need to respect and keep building up with megafights so their name and money can grow, then its more suitable. Right now they look ****** because just before this they tried to pursue a fight with Cotto.
