Yeah, that's what I don't get. Both times he could've been seen as absolutely elite, he lost. He was an okay fighter who at his best could beat other good fighters, but never could beat the best. He got lucky with Clottey at MSG.

So if he wasn't elite back then, IMO he's far from that now.

            Pacquiao>Cotto.

Pacquiao losing to Marquez doesn't make Cotto a better pick all of a sudden. It actually makes him a worse pick than even the current Pacquiao coming off that questionable win over Marquez.

It WOULD have been a great win back before Pac beats the **** out of Cotto, but nope. This Cotto is a "great" win like how Pac won against Mosley.

You might argue, hey, Floyd is fighting him at 154.
But who has Cotto fought at 154?
If Cotto fought Martinez at 154 and won, then this fight would be AWESOME.

But no. It will be up to floyd to hype this fight up, and his fans are already doing it for him.

Sry Floyd. I can't keep you fighting B and C level fighters and making millions again.
I hope this fight does bad so that he would have no choice BUT to face Pac next.

But knowing his fans, and Cotto's fans, this fight will make a ton of money.

              R.I.P Pac vs Mayweather 2012.
Who did Cotto fight at 154 , what the *** has that got to do with anything , the fighter himself says its a better weight for him , the fighter himself says that he will never sacrifice his body again like he did making 145 CW to fight Pac .

What I get from Pac fans is a level of dumbness Ive never seen before ,,, Pac REFUSED to fight Cotto at this weight just like he REFUSED to fight him at 147 , Pac demanded another CW with this Cotto who was on Pacs short list until Cotto said he woulod not sacrifice his body again and Pac disappeared looking for a smaller guy , Pac wants no part of a bigger guy thats is not weight drained , its a sham !

Once again Floyd is fighting a guy that Pac ducked , first it was Mosley who Pac ducked at 144 , now its Cotto who Pac wanted no part of at 147 and now at 154 Pac is still demanding Catch Weights ,,, Pac is a CW manipulating hype job , who only fights guys that are smaller or weight drained .

Cotto at 145 and coming off of the brutal Margarito loss, Jennings win, and the controversial Clottey win is considered as one of Pacquiao's best wins (top 3), but a Cotto coming off of 3 consecutive TKO wins at 154 over the then-current titlist, Mayorga, and Margarito does nothing for Mayweather's legacy?

Whatever... Your opinion is in the minority.

Destroyed is such a strong word to use. I would say cotto beat Marg but destroyed Marg? lol, thanks for the giggles I needed that.
