  • Cotto win DOES NOTHING for Floyd's Legacy & Fighting @ 154 = ROAD BLOCK for Pac fight

Floyd beating the war torn body of cotto does absolutely nothing for floyd's legacy. Just look at what cotto has done since the pacquiao fight; a win against a one legged ***, a win against a decrepit ricardo mayorga, and a win against a even more battle torn margarito. Even in that fight margarito was starting to get his licks in until they stopped the fight.

Cotto is no longer cotto and floyd gets as much credit as Pac gets credit for beating shane mosley. Cotto is nowhere near top 10 p4p and is on his way to becoming the next erik morales. Cotto is past prime.

What's more concerning is floyd fighting at 154.

Can he no longer make 147? Is it just for the cotto fight? Or is it something more devious and conniving like making the weight higher for a future pac fight. Floyd can say i fought last at 154 and if we are going to have a pac fight its going to have to be above 147. I choose the latter as Pac and Roach have publicly stated several times that they wont be going above 147 anymore.

Another roadblock thrown up by Floyd preventing the fight we all want.

Cotto is a good solid win.

It's a decent win. I think Pac's win over Cotto will be more impressive though. IMO Cotto is about 90% of the fighter he once was. Not crazy excited about the fight but honestly who else outside of Pac was there?

i still think Floyd can make 147 very easy...its just that he hated on Pac cause the CWs and 154 is the better option cause Cotto got a belt there...and after Cotto he may get Canelos belt too...

Cotto is worth more than Ortiz win or JMM at 147.

seriously, could it be his 7th best win behind JLC, Corrales, chicanito, ODLH, Hatton, Mosley?

In retrospect the Mosley win is not that great i guess.

It depends on how floyd wins. If floyd totally crushes cotto and knocks him out then the highest possible grade i can give him is B+. That is the best case scenario for floyd.

But there is a lot of pressure for floyd to do better than pac since pac got cotto when cotto was in much better shape. If cotto loses but remains competitive it is a lose lose situation for floyd.

swallow his pride and excessive greed and accept 50-50 and fight Pac.

Manny fight is never happening. Martinez should be the goal here.

Beating Cotto at his natural weight definitely a better win for Floyd

it will do the same as Manny beating him at 145 and make Floyd the #1 JrMW for some reason

its a ***** fight but I'm not going to be mad if it leads to Mayweather vs Martinez
