  • Good fight business-wise for both fighters, not a great fight for boxing fans.

    • So the major PPV fights have been mapped out for the next 6 months or so:

Floyd-Canelo in May (called that like 4 months ago)
Pac-Bradley in June(called that like a year ago)
Cotto-Chavez in July (if Chavez gets past Rubio, which is not guaranteed)

And a big non PPV fight with JMM-Peterson.

      • Good post.....

Good post here. I've been saying the same things basically. Cotto is the third biggest draw in boxing behind Manny and Maynever. Cotto has been wanting to fight him for years. May's stock is going way down in my opinion. First it was about a test that didn't even exist in boxing. Then after watching Manny win unimpressively against Marquez, all of a sudden May is relentless on Twitter and boxing sites screaming for the fight. Now all of a sudden he calls Manny personally and tells this man he don't deserve a 50/50 split!? Wow! Now he chooses an unproven fighter over Cotto? Martinez? I'm upset but I know that there is a part of him that's afraid to lose. At least Manny is willing to fight anyone around his weight. He honestly loves to fight and I'll continue to support him for that. If he fights Bradley, that will be a great fight! He'll be padding the legacy while May continues to tarnish his.

But, if Pac-Cotto II is made at 147, that's a C-/C fight at the most.

Pac-bradley is an A- fight for sure.

          What's your take on it???

I have a feeling were going to see Mayweather-Alvarez at 154 and Pacquiao-Cotto II at 147. Said it as recently as a few days ago when everyone was saying "Mayweather-Cotto at 154 is all but signed".
Pac-Cotto II at 147 is a D- minus fight IMO.

          Mayweather-Alvarez is a C-/D fight.

          Mayweather-Cotto at 154 is a B- fight.

          Pac-Bradley at 147 is a B/B+ fight.

Not hard to see what I want lol.

          • Canelo will bring it to Mayweather. He is way better than Ortiz, i think he has a slight chance on doing something, not saying winning but at least hurt mayweather once in the fight. Who knows, this kid is a beast.

I'll debate with imdazed or any other non-puerto rican about Cotto cause at least I know they're not being driven by nationality. I don't waste my time on butt hurt PR Cotto stans.
You don't make points. Ever. And every time I come at you, you have nothing to say but whine about "butt hurt Puerto Ricans".

You're points are "Cotto's overrated he just beat a *** with a bum leg and hasn't done anything else at 154". Ok, he's had 2 subpar fights and that deserves the hate you spew because........I don't know. You don't make any other points ever you basically just recycle your own garbabe points over and over.

You come off as so delusional when you talk about Cotto, you're just as bad as the ridiculous Cotto fans, just going the other way.

Not sure if you're addressing me as one of the PR's that are driven by nationality.....but if you are ask around, see if anyone else views me that way.

                i want first dibs.
                **Worlds more overrated than Canelo**

I haven't made a bet in years, I don't even bet on Floyd fights, and haven't bet on any Ward fights or anything. Last bet was Ward over Kessler.

But sure, iif you remind me by PM, we can bet some points on Canelo vs Cotto if the fight magically happens. I've never done the "all points" bet with any fight and won't do it for this fight either. There's only one fight I'd do that with and that's May-Pac. We can also bet on Pac-Brad if you want, I got Bradley.

What exactly are you looking for? HOF names? P4P elite names? If so then Bradley doesn't have any. What he does have is a string of wins against top 3/5/10 fighters of his weight-class. He went across the pond to beat the #1 rank JWW in that opponent backyard. He beat two fighters who became top fighters in their respected division after losing Bradley.

If you're looking for one or a couple standout wins. Then there isn't any...But, what Bradley has is a body of work that can't be denied. The same can't be said about Canelo now can it? Even Bradley lone win at WW against Luis Abregu is just as good as Alvarez best win. That's what's wrong with the Canelo fight.

I guess this is about what type of fan you're. If you're PPV fans or match up fans. If you the former Canelo would be your pick, if you the latter Bradley is the choice.

Bradley for Pac is around the same as Hatton for Floyd.
while alvarez is improved, his showing against jose cotto, a blown up lightweight will always stick out in my mind.
