    "Mayweather-Alvarez at 154. Damn....Both are C+ fights, maybe B- at the most."

Who's a C level fighter? I only see one C level fighter between the four; and that's Alvarez. Cotto, MAyweather, and PAcquiao are all A level fighters.

    • Please can someone tell me why Cotto-Mayweather is a better fight? Alvarez is the younger and fresher fighter, holds Floyd's favorite belt (albeit was given to him), and would probably produce bigger PPV numbers on the May 5th date. Cotto hasn't beaten nobody worth note lately, shot Mayoraga, peg legged Foreman, and one eyed Margarito don't do much for me, almost up to par with Canelo's opposition. And let's not forget Cotto has taken two horrible beatings in recent memory, and one to Pacquiao making him a "Pacquiao leftover" for Floyd's standards. It's a decent match up at 154 don't get me wrong, but it's not better than a Canelo fight.

I agree that Bradley-Pacquiao is a great fight, but I don't see it happening.

Are you ***ing Kidding me? Bradley's resume ****s all over Canelo's!
Bradley has basically wiped his division clean while Canelo takes on patty cakes and shoots up the division rankings.
How many WW's did Canelo fight last year? 2, one for his title and another as a defense. The only credible opponent he had last year was Ryan Rhodes and that's it.

I strongly disagree about Cotto winning but the fight will have to happen. If anything, Cotto is the overrated one. And I actually see Canelo stopping Cotto. Canelo is not a powerless Foreman(best win for Cotto at 154) or shot to pieces Mayorga, defenseless/injured Margarito. He's young, big, powerful, does not follow the same come forward Mexican tradition, has decent hand speed. Cotto is small, past his best which wasn't all that to begin with, his defense sucks, and he's slow, very chinny, can get hurt easily and start retreating.

          • Wouldn't really surprise me if its true, It makes a lot of sense on paper and financially, but as a fight right here and now, its bull*****.

If Mayweather goes up to 154 then i will like it more, it's probably another easy belt to pick up to add to the drama that is May vs Pac

              • Mayweather should have chosen Cotto for his next opponent. There was obvious some competition between Mayweather and Top Rank for Cotto, so maybe the price went really up? Cotto might be the one left out here if he doesn't have a deal for a Pac fight. Among boxing fans, if it's Pac vs Bradley compared to Mayweather vs Canelo then a large majority would say Pac has the better fight which is true. But among the general public, I think it's going to be a split reaction. However, if Pacquiao fights Cotto at 147 then even a Mayweather vs Canelo match up looks better.

Don't do it, stop giving these 2 clowns money. Maybe 1 day, everyone will grasp how they've been bamboozled by Floyd and Manny.

you counter with "who has canelo beaten?!"

that's not the question dipsh|t. i never once said it's a better fight than Pacquiao/Bradley. Both fights are ****. neither guy DESERVES to fight May/Pac. THAT IS the point moron

so again, who the **** has Bradley beaten that warrants a shot at Pacquiao. at least canelo has a ****ing fanbase. bradley has uh..
