i can understand his point. in the pros hes still a little green. Despite his incedible amateure record This is the pros and Donaire feels hes done a little more here than he has. I can see the" impress me" train of thought.
I like both these fighters and know Rigondeaux from Arena Box-Promotions. Alot of guys in the gym feel he going places to quick. It seem like yesterday we were at the Fontainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach when he made his pro debut...So i can understand where Donaire is coming from.

before everyone starts accusing Donaire of dodging watch Rigondeux's fight against Ramos, the crowd was absolutely silent a part from the occasional booing, so Donaire makes a valid point when he says he could be another Narvaez. Yes he is bigger and stronger than Narvaez and would be a bigger threat, but its a question of style in his fight against Ramos he was so technical that it made a really boring fight and Donaire cannot afford another boring fight.

        ..and Rigo will?

Did you watch Rigo-Ramos? It was a staring contest, both guys were waiting for the other to do something. Rigo is a damn good fighter and one of my favorite fighters currently, but Donaire is right.

Pretty lame excuse from Nonito. I would like to see him against Nishioka though.

            Yes he will.

Remember Narvaez celebrating after the fight? I was like WTF is wrong with this guy.....he celebrates his loss? He was basically satisfied to withstand 12rds (in his turtle shell defensive mode) with Donaire without being KOd. Rigo won't do that. He will come TO WIN the fight and Doinaire is very much a aware of that.

Apparently Nonito doesn't know the difference between a counter puncher and a guy showing up ONLY to survive...
