Rigondeaux is not going to just cover himself, he's going to counter punch Nonito. Narvaez had a couple of good counters which landed pretty good on Nonito, so I would give Rigo a good chance against him.
Narvaez gave a bad account of himself, but while doing so, showed Donaire doesn't know how to deal with defensive fighters very well. Imagine Donaire vs a defensive fighter of his size, height, and skill level. I think he'd lose. Rigondeaux is just a bit shorter but definitely has shown to have more power than Narvaez. I mean damn, Narvaez is 5'3" that's like the average heights of my girlfriends, and Donaire couldn't get him out of there. I don't care how defensive he is, with Donaire's size, he should have been able to open him up and do some serious damage. But he didn't do much damage at all.

what are you talking about? the narvaez fight was at 118 and vazquez is a legit 122 lber. hopefully rigondeaux can snatch the other belts before nonito can, i think that would put serious pressure on nonito to take the fight with guillermo.

I guess he'd rather continue fighting smaller, weaker guys. I love Nonito but he needs to stop with these wtf career management decisions. Nonito has the size and skills AND the competition within range to be an absolute star...but he doesn't capitalize. Is he intimidated? I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt because I think he's a stud but...you'd think it's Rigo the guy he'd want most. What he said..basically sounded like this to me. "I'd rather fight a slower but smaller and weaker guy who will leave himself open for me to knock him out. It's less challenging"

Lol yeah I just realized that ... yeah still Vazquez is smaller than Donaire, and even though he's a legit 122 fighter Nonito was HUGE for the 118 division and is still a big guy in the 122 division. I think that at 122 he has two actual good fights, one against Rigondeaux and the other one against Nishioka. Also even though Arce won over Vazquez I don't think he would be able to beat Nonito, Arce's style is just perfect for Nonito to use his speed and land hard punches.

I agree with Nonito, Rigondeaux doesn't bring match to the table. Nishioka and Arce are more exciting fights. Rigondeaux should fight Moreno instead

Narvaez actually did what he could against Nonito, but the weight and size difference was just too much. Narvaez had a couple of good rounds, I think 4 and 5 in which he was able to land some good counter punches but he realized that with the size difference he was not going to be able to win the fight.

Nonito with his skills and size should have done a lot more than he did. I think in some article here on boxingscene they quoted Nonito saying that he was bored during one of the 1 minute breaks, yet he didn't do anything else to just take Narvaez out ...

WV2 is a pretty big 122 pounder himself though. He also balloons himself up to the 140's.
