Floyd is being greedy, no doubt. Especially so when you consider that 50/50 was agreed to last time, and Manny has even more of a case for an even split now than he did then. However let's not pretend this absolves Manny and Bob from the tripe that came out of their camp in the last few weeks. If Manny accepted 60-40 there's no doubt Floyd will fight him. If Floyd backs off and agrees to 50/50 Bob still doesn't want anything to do with it. They didn't want anything to do with it before Floyd demanded more than half.

Manny agreed to a lesser cut in 2011 before Foyd got convicted. Manny is kind enough to accept a 50/50 deal. No law-abiding citizen of this world and a megastar as well should be paid lower than a convicted criminal.

Nothing but the Rope-a-dope. Arum has most of you on a string. Fact: Mayweather is not negotiating with Manny. So, if Mayweather thought that empowering Manny to put pressure on Arum would work. Then he is dumb for thinking so. Every negotiation begins and ends with Arum. The fight will happen when Arum wants it. I am not surprised by the statements in this thread, but how many times do you have to get tricked. Manny may be a puppet, but he wants the fight. Floyd may show immaturity in many facets of his life, but he wants the fight. They both want the money. Can we stop blaming the fighters? It is all Arum and it has always been Arum. Pac last year fights: 1.3m PPV againt Mosley and 1.4m PPV againt Marquez.

Floyd last year fight: 1.25m PPV vs Ortiz.

Pac asking for 50-50 is more than fair. Floyd rather beat Pac "easily" is a fantasy fight than risking his "0" is a real fight.

it took far too long for arum to release the numbers for pac v mosley. so there is no way in hell i will believe that fight did 1.3. if that number were legit it would have been released much sooner than the months and months it took to reveal those numbers. and btw floyd v oscar did 2.45 mil ppv so if you really want to try to justify your position by ppv numbers, your starting off in a real deficit. and thats not counting the 1st two pac v JMM fights that did a combined 750k while floyd v Jmm did 950k. so forget the ppv numbers. the magnitude of this fight warrants a 50/50 split. but this fight has lost so much steam its dropped from estimates of 3-5million ppv to if it does 2 million ppv i will be surprised.

This is what happens when there's a WEAK COMMISSION...instead boxing is left towards the boxers and promoters and now purely into profit instead of having a viable, sanctioning body (and there's too many)....to oversee fair rankings, unification of belts and what nots.

There should be the WORLD BOXING LEAGUE or something and integrate all bodies into one.

i dont think you can get the five families to agree on one WBL. but your post is a good one. and it really makes sense. it just dont make sense to the current sanctioning bodies that charge an arm and a leg(or knees) to boxers to fight for their brand.

FACT: May 5th is the VERY BEST date for that fight, no question, and Bob Arum's collection of ridiculous excuses have been absurd..... cuts, investors, dates, guarantee's, venues..... let's not forget how or why we got here, and this recent issue hasn't played out yet.
