maybe they should call it the shockingly average six, nothing super about the current heavy weight division imo.

Joe Strong is right. We don't need a tourney. I'd rather see contenders fight each other.

        Would make a good tournament.
id love to see a tourney but the winner wouldnt get a shot at the champion for a few years unless the klitschkos enter it. vitali would be retired( but he could fight til 50)& wlad would be like 37-38 when the tourney is done.it`s kind of pointless other then some good paydays & getting to see top HWs fight each other.its a good idea but the super 6 format takes too long.

I'd much rather see a UK version of this over the next 3 years with the following boxers:

          Audley Harrison
          Michael Sprott
          Danny Williams
          Matt Skelton
          Carl Baker
          and Scott Belshaw.

Great idea. Why not expand it to include Frank Bruno, Henry Akinwande, Horace Notice, Gary Mason (he could still beat half of the above) and Scott Welch (he looked good in Snatch).

The UK has some decent young heavies in Chisora, Fury, Price, Sexton, Olubamiwo and even Dallas & Tower. Of course, Big John could cause an upset this weekend.

Froch was seen as utter **** before the super 6. The hype made him who he is. Still a very ordinary fighter all the same is Froch.

Not true at all Froch has never been the most gifted boxer but to say he was thought of as utter **** is not only false but ridiculous, he had an impressive win over Pascal which was a great fight and a K.O win over Taylor.

Before the super six started Froch was thought of as a solid opponent willing to fight the best and that hasn't changed.

The great thing about this kind of tournament is that you can get some of the best fighters to take the risks it is fighting each other. Because they know, that even if defeated in the first round they get two more chances.

Now, for this reason I could see guys like Povetkin and Helenius get it on with someone like Adamek, Haye maybe even one of the brothers.
If this gets made i hope we see Wlad OR Vitali, Povetkin(/Huck), Haye, Adamek, Arreola and Chambers. (The last three are very negotiable).

I would not be interested in seeing six top contenders being unavailable for a little over two years. It's difficult enough as it is to find decent opponents for the two champions.

The best thing might be a tournament for all the "younger" guys out there, the ones that aren't ready for a Klitschko fight before late 2013 anyway. Helenius, Fury, Mitchell, (Chisora would quallify as not ready but he's still doing it), Huck, Boytsov, guy like that. If the K brothers are still around when they're done we would have a decent challenger

To weed out the wheat from the chaff? To get some good fighters fighting each other? Having the Klits in a tourny like this would be pointless since everyone knows they're the best. This should be used as a means to get a bit of life and excitement going at the mid-level/contender stratum.

That's a bonus IMO. I'd rather see a hungry up and comer like Seth Mitchell or Mike Perez than some pampered pussy with everything to lose like Povetkin. Add in dudes like Huck, Lawrence, Stiverne and Sam Sexton and you've got a solid and competitive tourny that could result in some pretty decent fights.

Oy could call it The Hungry Six.
