What kills me is Mayweather and his people always talk **** about Pacquiao fighting at a catch weight, but now it's justified . There should be no fight lower than 154! Especially at Martinez's age! 154 is a meet in the middle compromise. Martinez would be weak and weight drained!

Just watched the interview. I thought Floyd suggested that - which would cancel out what Ellerbe said yesterday. If they do negotiate with Martinez (which I doubt), it better be at 154.

FM would win @ '50, just like he'd tear up Alvarez, but Sergio won't happen...

Martinez is not at the same level of popularity as other fighters being mentioned as potential Mayweather opponents. For that reason alone it will not captivate an audience and will not happen.

I dont like maywather but his skills are the best around, and there is a big difference pacyow chooses to take zero zero risk he'll ask for catchtweights against bigger coming off- of- loss old, shot no- hopers, while jr is asking for one against somebody who can really end his boxing career.Lets face it sergio is much much bigger if he wanted to he could beat pacman and jr on the same night.

didnt he just answer the question of would you fight SM @ 150 with yes if he could make it,(off the back of SM saying ill fight either at 150) its well documented that FM "dont do catch weights" if it happens it will happen at 154 SM was begging for smaller guys and bigger paydays he would offer 135 if he thought it would make the fight he wants the cash. and pac seems to fight 2 in 3 at a CW which is why people talk about it so much.

Martines' camp came up with 150. But I dont know why Floyd didnt just dead the whole catch weight thing because he has came out and said that hes against the whole catch weight thing.

The difference though is Mayweather never insists on a guy fighting at a catchweight where Pac has made those demands. Hey I'm a Pac fan but I have to look at everything objectively. Martinez offered. I think if the Pac fight falls out, Mayweather vs Martinez at 152 would work only if Martinez is willing to fight 7 weeks apart from his next fight.
