It's not the judge's ruling that is the problem. It's the contractual obligations with the MGM. Floyd's people have reserved the space, obtained the permits and made other preparations.

Arum has known of the date since last November, but has made excuse after excuse. Remember when Manny couldn't fight on May 5th because he needed more time for the cut to heal?

Now Arum is saying they need time to promote the fight and need time to build that ridiculous temporary stadium. When the excuses stop?

If the court transcripts do not enforce the May 5th date, then Mayweather's "legal" commitments were based on agreements with MGM. When Mayweather's lawyer talked about how he was legally commited to May 5th, there is no reason she should have mentioned MGM because the court commitments would have been enough.

Because its ***in Arum!! They knew he wasn't going to be dictated to. How can you expect to just decide a date/site without his input and expect him to go along with it?

Because that's usually how negotiations go. Dictating is what you do to your secretary.

Mayweather and his lawyer should at least attempt to get the date changed. Maybe Mayweather and Arum can compromise and fight at the MGM late May? In other words, if Mayweather can give up the date, he can still talk to the MGM, and Arum can give up his extra Riches and have the fight at the MGM.

"Hey, do you want to do dinner at your favorite spot on Saturday night?"

"Hell no, how dare you dictate!"

Negotiations - the key is in the word. You negotiate a date/site.

But it didn't go like that, did it? They set the date/site and have refused any wiggle room on it.

                      Funny though.....i guess
