Mayweather's lawyer says something and you don't believe it.

A guy named "hillbilly" appears on an internet forum and claims to be a lawyer for one of the top 3 legal firms in the world and you gobble it up like Christmas dinner.

I wonder how many promises Bob Arum made regarding this fight. I imagine a lot of people wanting in when this thing gets signed, but Floyd might have just messed everything up. IMO, that would be the only thing holding Bob back from making it happen because the timing is not going to get any better.

Just reading this board lets me know that there are still a lot of ignorant people in my community... You *****s are part of the problem and is why all three Mayweathers have been or is going to jail. You guys are an Ellerbe, making excuses and helping Floyd thinks the world revolves around him and that is why his Black A$$ is going to jail. (1) Did he call Manny's people before signing the contract or ask if that was a good day for Manny??? NO Dumb A$$es he signed those contracts before he took to Twitter.

(2) Did he call Manny and say hey, I'm going to beat on women and plead guilty in a case and get myself in some BS and it might effect the negociations of our fight???

(3) Did he call Manny and say let's fight now because I'm about to retire for the 3rd time??? If he went and signed contracts to fight Manny on May 5th without talking to Manny before than that's just ******!!!!

If he signed contracts and planned on fighting Manny exactly on May 5th why did he Tweet the call outs the next day???

If he planned on beating his BM and getting in trouble and pleading guilty thus making the normal course of business impossible why didn't he consult Manny first??? The reason why is because people like you *****s make excuses for him.

Nobody said to him Floyd maybe you should fight Manny before you retire or took a long break or whatever he did.

Nobody said Floyd if you want to fight Manny on May 5th maybe you should talk to him before you sign those contracts.

floyd vs pac will sell no matter what date, no matter where...it'll sell

pac vs jmm 4 is not as a demanded fight at all and you can capitalize as a promoter on the situation by having it on may 5th ( becuase one is mexican)...

It is settled.....Arum needs to accept this date. Very simple. It has nothing to do with Mayweathers ego or being in control. He wanted to fight before going to Jail and reserved this date. Pac can accept it or Mayweather will have to chose another opponent. Mayweather has a right to fight on this date and is legally obligated to do so.

No wonder May 5 isn't good for Team Pacquiao. It is clear that Bob Arum is angry that Floyd has contracts with companies to hold the fight on May 5th. Floyd beat them to sponsorship contracts therefore, Arum will have a harder time making money for the fight. Bob should just make sure that Pacquiao get's half of whatever Floyd signed and make sure everything is 50/50.

Sure, they can fight on May 5th if they can agree. But the subject was who wants it more. Mayweather has no real opponent on the table outside of Pacquiao and Martinez. Pacquiao has more options. So who wants it more?

Let's not forget, Mayweather did all these things to piss off Pacquiao to avoid the fight when he was making more money. Mayweather claimed he makes more money than Pacquiao, and so he calls the shots. That was not so in recent fights. If Mayweather doesn't want to budge, Pacquiao can test that theory again by not budging this time as well and see who makes the most money to call the shots. For Pacquiao's second fight of the year, maybe Mayweather will budge due to his ego lesson learned.

Pacquiao doesn't really have the options that you think that he has. He's clearly losing the PR battle with Mayweather at this point, and the backlash for his next opponent not being Mayweather will definitely be felt. Mayweather is clearly in a better position as of right now. He's gone all out and made it clear that he wants Pacquiao, and this will reduce or even eliminate possible backlash he might've received. How can you fault him for fighting Cotto or Alvarez at this point knowing that Pacquiao is clearly not interested? Pacquiao on the other hand will receive backlash regardless if he doesn't step up and face Mayweather. He'll catch criticism for fighting Marquez again, and there's a good chance that he could lose. The public won't buy another Cotto fight. Bradley would be an ok choice but he'd still catch backlash and that could be a risky fight too. I disagree with you, I say that Mayweather has more options right now.
