Obviously, he's stating that he likes the date for Marquez because he's Mexican. However, everybody knows that there has been huge boxing fights on the first weekend of May that do not involve Mexican boxers in the Main Event. Both GBP and Top Rank have plenty of fighters that can be put on the undercard to make it an even more stellar event. The only thing that's stopping this fight it seems is the pride of Bob Arum. Which is silly because it's not like if Mayweather is asking for Bob Arum and Pacquiao to choose a date that is clearly out of the question for them. It's not like if he's a ***ish fighter and is asking him to fight on Yom Kippur.

here is a simple point for all that...

floyd vs pac will sell no matter what date, no matter where...it'll sell

pac vs jmm 4 is not as a demanded fight at all and you can capitalize as a promoter on the situation by having it on may 5th ( becuase one is mexican)...

Why research when it's common sense? Only people too drugged up, from what they eat or otherwise, can't see this. For example, you don't see other animals getting cancer when they're not exposed to man-made BS.

if so then why not the 5th? Its just as good as any other day right. After all, the fight will sell, no matter what date as you so aptly put.

He doesn't want Pacquiao more. If he did, he could hire lawyers to help him disrespect the judicial system again. But now they're playing good little boys aren't they? He calls himself money, yet he won't hire lawyers, if necessary, to make the fight happen.

Why go through the hassell of Lawywers and 'disrespecting to Judicial System' when the easy way to stop that is just fight on May 5th? They're both available.

If it's going to sell, then why not just agree to May 5th. The latest date in May can be thrown out the window, casual people will not cancel their travel plans for a 3 day weekend for a fight. It doesn't matter who will fight.
