Yup, they sure do over react. I can't think of any other active boxer that is as good as Floyd is on the ropes. You don't see fighting against the ropes anymore.

There was even a moment at the end of the 3rd round, where Ortiz rushed in with his one-two and gets popped with a right hand from Floyd, and Lampley was like "Good cross by Victor Ortiz, he's quick enough to fight with Floyd Mayweather", and than Floyd hit him with a little uppercut too.

        It's crazy.

Marquez did it beautifully against Katsidis, if youre looking for a fight where someone was fighting off the ropes.

            Well said! I agree.

people overreact because thats the only time when Floyd can possibly get in trouble. If hes in the middle of the ring forget it, hes almost untouchable, except when Zab gave him fits in the early rounds.

Mayweather once again shows shoulder roll skills against a southpaw, something many said he couldn't do including professional boxers. Ortiz's gameplan was to target Floyd's left shoulder. Dumbest thing he could have done. Putting a fist near Mayweather's shoulder sets off a timing mechanism that he uses to counter. It's like walking through an infrared sensor for a bomb. His coach instructed going for the shoulder. They don't know much about a Slick Black fighter being from where they are.

They do this with most boxers that go to the ropes, they are not doing anything different with Floyd.

80 percent of the time Lampley get hyped over something that is happening in a fight that only he sees.
